Kobe vs D-Rob (Peak Only)
The poll results for the Dwight thread were a bit lopsided…. I suggested this would be a closer comparison. Peak only who would you rather have?

D.Rob. Not close.

I'd take Kobe slightly here just as I would over Dwight.
Maybe if Karl Malone didn't exist. But you can't let yourself get absolutely owned like that by a guy who isn't a GOAT tier guy.

Re: Kobe vs D-Rob (Peak Only)
Robinson has among the best advanced metrics alltime. He carried at best average teams to consistently over 53 wins for his first six years, pre Duncan. Not many players ever could have accomplished that. He was a better defender than Kobe, especially being a Center in this regard and one of the best defenders ever. He scored among the best in his era, and those included at least four of the top 20 players ever, arguably three top 10 ever.
Looking at his impact, it can be said that he had a better career than Kobe, with significantly less longevity.
