Yeah, I know I'm sizing upwards but I think this would be the best team. Tempted to put Otis Thorpe.

Re: Best modern 10-man Rockets rotation
I'll go with:
James Harden / Chris Paul
Clyde Drexler / Tracy McGrady
Ron Artest / Shane Battier
Rudy Tomjanovich / Robert Horry
Hakeem Olajuwon / Moses Malone
Definitely some fit issues here, but I have faith in 9 of these guys to really play a role on an elite contender, and figure McGrady could find a way to be useful too in a more limited capacity.
While I'm focusing too much on these as separate 5-man units, I don't like the lack of shot-blocking in the 2nd 5.
I frankly think Yao is too big to be optimal for the modern game.
Guys like Hayes & Sampson make sense as back up 5 if you want to move Moses to 4, but frankly I see Tomjanovich & Horry as winning players in a way I don't see Hayes & Sampson really.

Chris Paul / Patrick Beverley
James Harden / Clyde Drexler
Shane Battier / Ron Artest
Hakeem Olajuwon / Robert Horry
Moses Malone / PJ Tucker
It's either this or start two role players so let's try the double big.
