1979 Sonics vs. 2004 Pistons
These are two NBA championship teams that I've always found to be quite similar in the sense that neither really had a true bona fide superstar but came together and won titles with cohesive teamwork and suffocating defense. Who do you think wins in a 7 game series?

The Pistons were on another level after the Sheed trade, arguably the best defense of all time. They were a 60+ win team in disguise. The Sonics were just a very good team that actually beat three opponents that all had a higher SRS than they did. Definitely underrated historically as no one ever discusses them but I'm confident the Pistons were better, at least if we trust the metrics.
