Who do you think was the better individual player when they were both in their prime years?

While the answer may be the same, "Better All-Around (poll question)" isn't quite the same as "better individual player (OP)." A player may be a solid jack of all trades but you may prefer someone who is great at one or two things and weak in other areas.

Otherwise a good comp, as Gilmore feels like the most apt 'older' comp for Dwight Howard. Not sure who I'd got with; very close for peak and prime, imo; slight edge to Gilmore on career (longevity).

I'd say peak and prime, Dwight was probably more impactful, though the 75 playoffs may make it close. Career, Dwight crashed faster after his athleticism started slipping where Artis continued to be able to make use of his size and post game longer.

Artis clearly better on both sides of the ball IMO. Dwight just did too much stupid **** to maximize his athleticism.
