Jordan Duncan.

Big men typically need a "closer". As great as Pippen is at the end of the game is there anybody who wouldn't choose MJ?

Jordan/Duncan.

While prime Shaq was better than prime Duncan, the difference between Jordan and Pippen outweighs the differences.

The Jordan-Duncan team would be so appealing because of their defense. With Jordan on the perimeter and Duncan down low, the defense would be stellar :o.

If MJ and Duncan was chosen over Magic and Shaq, of course they would be chosen over Pippen and Shaq.

Jordan/Duncan. Pippen is not in Jordan's league, and Duncan isn't really a downgrade from Shaq.

Duncan IMO is a clear downgrade from Shaq.

But the difference between both players is not much a gap anyway....both have intangibles thats useful....

I think it could go either way if you are talking about a 2 on 2. I agree that there is a greater difference between Jordan and Pippen than there is with Shaq and Duncan. The only problem is that the best perimeter defender of all time is on Jordan and Duncan doesn't have a chance of stopping Shaq. If you are talking about who I'd rather pick for a franchise, I'd take Jordan and Duncan.
