Which point guard would you rather have now and for the future?

Right now Calderon

Future, Hinrich.

Hinrich has had a very tough season thus far, but I am positive he will bounce back and be his normal self. On the offense side of the ball, both Calderon and Hinrich are comparable, but on the defense end, Hinrich and it is not even close

Calderon's having a better season thus far, and I expect him to always be a better shooter and playmaker.

Hinrich is a much better defender though.

Tough call, I would have taken Hinrich in prior years but I'll go with Jose at the moment.

Calderon has vastly out played Hinrich. Look at his numbers as a starter 14 and 10.... according to Hollinger he's the 3rd best guard in the east i think thats a stretch but hes been spectacular this year.. I would take Calderon personally.

Calderon has been sensational as a backup/starter... 6:1 assist/to ratio, top 6 in assists as a backup

Calderon easily this year.. But Kirk was better last season.. Kirk is in a serious funk.. I dunno what his deal is but he needs to snap out of it

Calderon is easily the superior scorer and distributor. Hinrich is several times better as a defender. If Hinrich reverts to a 16/6/3 guy on decent percentages, you have to take him...but I'd prefer Calderon over the current incarnation.

I'm taking Calderon. Hinrich has been in the league 5 years and is at an all time career low in assists. He's never been a great or even avg shooter. I think he has made his name off of guarding Wade in the playoff's and people talk about his D. But he seems to be regressing. In the FIBA games he couldn't make open shots which is why they had to bring in Kidd who at least can get the ball to guys in scoring position.........

Great comparison. Hinrich looks like he's taking some hits for his play this year, but last year I'm pretty sure it would have gone the other way. At this point I'd probably lean towards Calderon, but I'd rather wait and see how Hinrich plays over the next 2 months.
