Most overrated player this season.

For me, despite all that he's done / doing, Brandon Roy is the most overrated. He's amazing, but he's not a top 10 type of player. Maybe one day, who knows.

1.A. would be Bynum, same as above.

NOW GO!

Roy, dude is nowhere near being a top tier SG but that's what he's being pimped as

Josh Howard! =)

but seriously,

Roy or Bynum sounds about right.

I think what happened with Roy is this.

He fits into the Blazers system / chemistry perfectly. Literally better than anyone else in the league for what they ask him to do both on the court and off. However, that gets taken and switched into he's the best in the league at anything you ask him to do...which is plain not true. He's a very very good player, but not elite. Atleast not yet, time will tell on that one, but for now, he's good, yet highly overrated as far as player v player comparisons go.

Agree totally.

BTW, aren't you a Blazers fan?

I'm a huge Blazer fan and have been pretty homerish lately. However, I can still see it. This run is great, and the next few years are only going to get better, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Jason Kidd is the most overrated by fans.
Tim Duncan is the most overrated by realgm.

Tim Duncan's overated? How can you be overated when you're top 10 in rebound rate, #1 in defensive composite scores, #6 in offensive composite score, a great passer, the best post scorer in the league, and lead your team to 4 championships in the last 9 years? And Kidd's almost averaging a triple double.

I agree with the OP.

Kidd is NOT overrated, in the contrary. He gets a lot of flak for his low shooting %, yet the guy almost averages a triple double. TD has 4 rings and 3 Finals MVPs, more than LARRY BIRD. What is there to overrate?

On topic: Bynum, Roy, and in certain sense Baron Davis. He is a good PG, but not near as elite as some ppl say after the Mavs series.

For all the triple-doubles Jason Kidd gets it hasn't exactly won the Nets very many games. They've played one of the easiest schedules in the league so far too.

I like Kidd, but he has been a little overrated this year by the fans and media.

I'm going with Bynum too..he's definitely having a nice season and showing strong progress, but please Laker fans are making this guy out to be the most dominant center in the league.

Boozer get's my vote. Guy puts up really amazing numbers and has some big name teammates in Deron Williams, Kirilenko and Okur. Still though Utah has been been performing under expectations.

Roy and Bynum are two players whom I think deserve the hype theyr're getting although some fans have been overdoing it in trying to compare them with more established players at this stage of their development.

The Blazers are exceeding all expectations in large part because of Roy.

Bynum has also exceeded expectations and is an important part of the Lakers success.

Most overrated is Brandon Roy by far. Magic just said he was a top 3 player in the league, and several say he is the best in the league now. Coaches and analysts are saying he is going to the ASG, win MVP, make All-NBA first and defensive teams...
What's so impressive about 19/4/5? Several players have had MUCH better seasons but didn't get this hype, and many people are having better years than him so far. For instance, Elton Brand averaged 20/10/2 on ~57% FG% for multiple years but didn't get any love. Baron Davis averaged 21/5/8/2 last year for a long stretch of the season, and didn't make anything. So why should someone who is 19/4/5 and not top 30 in any stat?

Andrew Bynum has got to be first.

Second is Kevin Garnett in my opinion.

Third might be Brandon Roy.

Because all of the Blazers success is mostly because of him, Aldridge has been great, but not as consistent as Roy.

^^ But that doesn't justify him being a top 15 player in the league, let alone some of the stuff people have been saying lately.

I never said he isn't over rated, but I can see why he would be. He is a second year player that is leading a young team to the playoffs. Gotta respect that.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, he's a good player who is having a great, great year for a second yr player, but I just don't see why he is suddenly "the obsession."

Well he is putting up Carter like numbers with less scoring, more leadership.
