Kevin Martin vs. Michael Redd
Who would you prefer to have on your team as the starting 2? Kevin Martin is really evolving into a 2 way player (efficient scorer and good defender).

Agreed hes not old at all actually in his prime years ..
and yes Martin is devoloping into a nice player but i still take Redd .. he Shoots great and plays nice defense ..Martin is becoming good but hes only 2 games back from that injury .. i wanna see if he stays consistent with this but geast win over the Mavs none the less

Redd is a better all around player, you couldn't count the times he has been either one rebound or one assist short of a triple-double this year, but on the other hand martin clearly is Much more efficient scorer.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Actually a pretty nice comparison given they were both relative steals at their draft positions. I think overall Martin is better, he is by far the better, more efficient scorer, the only thing Redd having over him is 3pt shooting (even though he has lower 3pt%, he has a much quicker trigger). Martin is also a better defender IMO, more steals, comparable rebounders, younger, and on a better contract. Redd averages more assists, but he has the ball in his hands a lot more than Martin does, and Redd has often been accused of ignoring teammates so I don't buy that he is a clearly superior passer, but neither of them are terrific at it.
All in all, I don't see how anyone would prefer Redd.
