Jazz but not a run away. That 96 team had the deepest bench ever. A true 12 man rotation where thier bench was known for outscoring the opposing starters. Mailman, Horny, and Stockton were a great unit supported by Bryon Russell an excellent defender/3pt specialist and Ostertag playing the best ball of his otherwise dismal 10 yr nba career.

For the record, it is

94 ROX (CHAMPS)
C - Hakeem / Cureton
PF - Thorpe / Bullard
SF - Horry / Herrera
SG - Maxwell / Elie
PG - Smith / Cassell
Coach - Rudy T

96 JAZZ (FINALIST)
C - Ostertag / Carr / Spencer
PF - Malone / Keefe
SF - Russell / Morris / Benoit
SG - Hornacek
PG - Stockton / Eisley
Coach - Sloan

I would say that Sloan will just outcoach Rudy T and get the series done. They have too many big men to throw at Hakeem.

EDIT: also, the Jazz have really really elite 3 pt shooters. The main problem the Knicks had in 1994 was 3 pt shooting, because Maxwell, Horry and co. smothered Starks, Harper and Davis. With Hornacek and Stockton, you have a shooting edge, let alone a clutchness edge.

Rockets would upset Jazz like they upset everyone else is 94 ! I don't know how it's possible to win with so little help like Hakeem did.

Rockets, they won the championship that year. Hakeem was unstoppable, as he was the league MVP, and defensive player of the year, no one meaning no one stooped him that year, he was hands down the best center in the league at that time. It was a very simple team...it was a great big man who no one could stop surrounded by a group of very good shooters. Otis Thorpe was like the 2nd option as he would play the high post and was a great rebounder.
