if salary does not come into play then I pick Collins. You need those extra fouls when you face Shaq in the playoffs

I'll take Hughes, because there will be some games where he'll be effective offensively, but with Collins, there is no hope.

Collins..

I'd rather have a scrub big than a scrub guard.

Collins.

Because defense and hustle are strengths of Collins game, and general consistencies. As well as the fouls that can be used up with it not mattering much.

Also the times he lets his 'fro out are fun.

Jason Collins, Ben Wallace, Josh Childress on the same team would be awesome. :)

The combined amount of afros would only add to the size and altering around the basket.

Easily Collins, not just from a contract situation but come on we're talking about Larry Hughes. The guy averages slightly over 10 shot attempts per game and hits about 3 of them a game, Collins only takes 1.3 shot attempts per game and is shooting 46.5% from the field...

I'm sure that number would go down if he took more shots BUT, he doesn't shoot and that's what's good about him he knows he sucks at offense and he doesn't try to prove people that he doesn't suck like Hughes tries to do every game (failing at it horribly in the process).

Collins because he plays better D and shoots the ball less.

I honestly think Hughes is one of the worst players in the NBA when u take his contract into account. When u add those 2 things together and I can't help but feel sorry for CLE who has so much money locked into that guy. After saying that... Why doesn't he play for the Knicks?

Hughes is a lot more liable to hurt your team and lose you games. Collins might not help, but hes not going to hurt either.

It's sad this is even a question and sadder still that Collins is winning.

Hughes is sooooo much more talented. But he gambles to much defensively and you might actually be better off the offensively inept Collins who knows he's sucks than the offensive inept Hughes who never saw a shot he didn't like.
