Which team would u choose to face in the west?

Post#1 » by dockingsched » Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:00 pm

Which of the current 10 teams with winning records in the west would you choose to face come playoff time?

assume that most teams have their players back healthy, except those that are already out for the entire season.

of the ten i would rather have my team face the denver nuggets.

Since we are portland, Golden State. We match up well vs. them.

Depends on the matchup...threadstarter is a Laker fan so best case for them would be Utah (no interior D on Bynum, Kobe always great vs them) or Denver.

Best for the Lakers is the Warriors.

QFT.. although i'm not sold that its a given that Houston blows it again. They might make it this year depending on McGradys health and who they are matched up with.

So thats assuming the nuggets have Kmart, Nene, Hunter, and Atkins healthy? LMAO, no they are not the team you would want to face out of those 10.

Do a if I were:

San Antonio - Phx, GState, New Orleans (no depth)

Dallas - New Orleans, Houston

New Orleans - Denver, GState, Phx

Lakers - Phx, Gstate, New Orleans

GState - Dallas for obvious reasons

Houston - San Antonio, Denver

Denver - hard to say they are 6-9 vs the top WC teams

Phx - Dallas, New Orleans (experience)

Portland - Denver, New Orleans

Utah - hard to say I think they could beat anyone and lose to anyone

To the Hornets fans the reason I have them alot is because of their bench. They have one of the best 2 or 3 starting 5's in the NBA bu that bench is not so good. In the playoffs against the better teams that have benches they are going to get worn down imo. If they lose any one of their starters especially Chandler they are done.........

i don't think the hornets lack of bench is going to be any bigger of an issue in the playoffs than it is now. playoffs games are spread out, rotations are tightened. foul trouble for their bigs might be an issue when the opposing frontcourts are all very good.

I've seen 2 Hornets games this year and the one I saw Tyson Chandler fouled out in the 4th quarter and the whole game changed. I believe it was against Toronto and the Raptors came back to win.

Paul may get the love and be the engine that makes NO go but if Chandler goes down that team is done. They have even less than the Lakers do at the C position........

I'd go with this, too. Houston just can't seem to put it together when it counts, and Portland will be deadly soon, but they need to go through their growing pains.
