With the season half way through I have decided to make my top 25 Small Forwards.

This list is based on the impact they have made on their teams, their offense, their defense, and has also taken health into considderation.

1. LeBron James - Obviously
2. Caron Butler - Has been the best two way player at his position in the league.
3. Carmello Anthony - Hes almost unstoppable on offense, and has taken other facets of his game to the next level.
4. Paul Pierce - One of the smarter basketball players in the game, has played great so far with his new teammates.
5. Josh Howard - Another great two way player, starting to get into his prime, has upped his scoring average every year hes been in the league.
6. Gerald Wallace - Wallace is quietly having the best season of his career averaging a career high 21.6 points per game.
7. Rudy Gay - Few people expected him to make such a jump from his play his rookie season, including Memphis. It has made it easier to think about moving the player that has led the franchise since moving to Memphis.
8. Richard Jefferson - Has been one of the top scorers in the league this season, still hasnt shown he can lead a team to wins consistently, has stayed healthy so far.
9. Steven Jackson - hes having a great year and obviously has made a major impact on his team (look at their record with and without him).
10. Andre Iguodala - Im not sure the Sixers should be sold on him being the Franchise player they were hoping for, hes expecting big money this off season its interesting to see what hes gonna do.

11. Corey Maggette
12. Hedo Turkoglu
13. Danny Granger
14. Luol Deng
15. Andre Kirlienko
16. Ron Artest
17. Marvin Williams
18. Shane Battier
19. Peja Stojakavic
20. Tayshaun Prince
21. Grant Hill
22. John Salmons
23. Bruce Bowen
24. Jamario Moon
25. Ricky Davis (edit)

I think you might have double-posted....

Do you consider Marion as a PF or an SF?

There's no one better than Luke Walton? I'm a Lakers fan but Luke just hasn't performed with that injured ankle.

this list would be seem a lot better if you cut it off at 20.

I tried to do top 30 so we could see who should be a starter on most teams. I felt like after 25 most of the players were to similar in talent.

Battier is too high IMO, he's an overrated defender and has been very inconsistent/inefficient on the offensive end.

Isn't Salmons a SG? If I'm wrong, my bad.

Right now hes a bench player that backs up both the SG, and SF and sometimes PG (i may be wrong about that). But I know he started when Artest was injured.

I'm assuming that you correctly put Rashard Lewis as PF for this season, correct?

Anthony should be lower. Pierce and Jefferson should be higher.

Real surprise coming from you.

Really though at this point of Carmelo's career there should be no reason he's lower than #2 or MAYBE #3.

Outlaw should be somewhere at the bottom of that 25, i mean he is certainly better then Ricky Davis.

I personally would put Carmelo at 2 and Caron at 3 (keep in mind, I'm a huge Butler fan). Butler's been ridiculous this season and just keeps improving, but Melo is a better player, IMHO.

I put the other 3 ahead of RJ because although Jefferson has been scoring like a man possessed (24 ppg) Gay Wallace and Howard are all averaging 20+ points while also being known as defense first players. Jefferson hasnt done much else but score this season and is having lows in most other areas.

It's a very well-thought-out list. I might have some minor disagreements, but overall, I think this list is better than what most would come up with.

Nice job.

Considering the OP put Melo at 3 and Butler at 2, yes, that was a question.
