Let's say you were going to start a franchise from scratch, which duo would you take to start up a team if given the option?
(Isiah Thomas and Larry Bird) or (Walt Frazier and Tim Duncan)

Great as Larry was, not only would I rather have Clyde and Timmy's mix of talent and leadership but Larry and Isiah despise each other.
Isiah, after all, was quoted as saying Larry Bird would only be considered an average NBA player if he wasn't white and Larry, while too smart to say it to the media, did more than his share of on court trash talking to Isiah and the Pistons.
You thought Kobe and Shaq had issues . . .

Frazier and Duncan.. First of all, Isiah and Bird = too much ego..
I think Duncan's post up game and interior defense in his prime is just so meaningful to a championship team that you can't put it on paper.. Bird and Thomas are great players, proven winners, and HOFers and deservedly so. But you gotta go with the Duncan/Walt Duo.
