The point guards this year have been pathetic, with injuries to big names like Arenas, Marbury, Randy Foye, T.J. Ford, and Mike Conley; and poor play from other point guards (Hinrich, Nelson, etc.) it was hard to make a top 25 list but I managed to do so. This list is based on offenseive ability, defensive ability, team importance, and the ability to stay healthy.

1. Steve Nash - Leads the league in assists, and putting up insane shooting numbers (51% from the field and 91% from the line) while and still keeping up with then umbers hes put up his MVP calibur seasons, on one of the top teams in basketball.
2. Chris Paul - Has stayed healthy so far this season (knocks on wood) and if it continues he will be a for sure MVP candidate.
3. Baron Davis - The impact this guy has on his team is ridiculous, has also stayed healthy.
4. Deron Williams - As good as Marvin Williams has been, the Hawks were crazy to draft ANOTHER swingman over both Paul (would have been perfect for the) or the other Williams (deron), hes shooting great %

Mo williams over Calderon?!?!?!

Mo Williams has no business in the top 10.

If this list truly is half through this season, and only this season, then Paul is first no questions asked, and Calderon is above Parker and Mo Williams.

Mo williams is a 12-15 point guard not top 10.

When the other point guards behind him have sucked as bad as hey have then I think hes fine where he is.

Yeah, Mo Williams is too high. If we aren't counting Arenas, Calderon is 8 right now.

I'm surprised you don't somehow still have Marbury up there, you always found ways to defend him in the past. Conley nor Marbury were "big names" coming into this season IMO at the PG spot. And Foye in my mind is a 2.

I just noticed Beno Udrih at 17, wow. Jameer Nelson? I'm sure you can find a load of back-up points better than Nelson!

Arenas has played 8 games this season why would he be anywhere near this list, I have defender Marbury in the past, particularly last season because he had a good season, I nevel said he was a top 5 point guard ( I think the highest i listed him was 9) and that was because he was playing the best basketball (all around) of his career. He was shutting down teams best players and he was playing within the offense and still scoring on the other end. Right now Marbury has lost his mind, hes not in it for the team anymore andthe team ahs given up on him, if he had played more than 24 games he would be on this list but playing half of your teams games half way through a season will not get you on a top 25 list for the season unless youve played really well.

Beno Udrih did very well filling in for Bibby while he was out, he will be out of the list in a little while as his playing time gets smaller and smaller and Mike gets healthy.

4. Deron Williams^ (19, 9.2. 1.1, shooting 51 from the field, stock rising)
5. Baron Davis (23, 8, 2.4, if not for his woeful shooting percentages, would be higher)
6. Jason Kidd (12, 10.5, 8, near triple double numbers, his shooting has been horrendous, his team stinks and his lack of scoring is part of the blame, maybe too high?)
7. Tony Parker (20/6.5 on 49%, quickest guard in the league, can break down any defense)
8. Jose Calderon^ (12/8.5 and 1 steal on 50/40/90 Nash-like percentages, better numbers when starting, top 5 in P.G per, leads leagues A/T.S ratio, on and on and on, stock continues to rise ^)
9. T.J Ford (When healthy 14/7/1.2 steals on 49% shooting in under 30 minutes, 4th in P.G per, latest injury has his stock falling)
10. Devin Harris (14.5/5.5/1.5 steals on 48% shooting, record of team helps out his spot)

11. Mo Williams (Started off promising, reverting to old habits, not helping the Bucks win games)
12. Jamaal Tinsley(Started off as hot as any point in the league, injuries have set him back)
13. Andre Miller^(Playing great for Philly of late, rasing his market value and increasing his chances of getting traded to a contender)
14. Steve Blake^ (Surprise pick, believe it, he's been terrific leading a young Portland team to a 25-17 record, he doesn't turn the ball over and he's an efficient offensive player, stock rising)
15. Kirk Hinrich (Off-season, sub par assist numbers, career low shooting numbers, losses mounting in Chicago)
16. Raymond Felton (Still can't shoot worth a lick, Bobcats underachieving yet again, stock plummeting)
17. Derek Fisher (Career rejuvenated back in L.A, helping Lakers to top 3 record out West, stock rising)
18. Rajon Rondo (Better than most thought for the Celtics)
19. Jason Terry (Has fallen back, still scoring points for Dallas, but off the bench now)
20. Antonio Daniels^ (Very underrated, has filled in admirably for Arenas, helping Wizards to winning record and division lead)
