Which player is better and why?

i prefer billups but i can't argue against those who pick kidd.

Well, Billups and Kidd are both big strong PG's who bring excellent defense to the table. Kidd is a superb playmaker while Billups is pretty average; Billups is an excellent scorer (not shooter mind you, but an efficient scorer) and Kidd is a poor one. Kidd does shoot enough that I'd take Billups at the moment but I can see the argument for Kidd.

Kidd has had the better career by far, and is still the better all-around player.

Career: Kidd>Billups

Right now: Billups > Kidd, and it's not even close.

Better all-around player? Are you kidding me? Kid can't post, shoot, finish, like Chauncey but Chauncey can do anything Kidd does except for the rebounding and no look passes.

Chauncey has been a better ever since he he won the Finals MVP. I'd take him over Kidd any day.

Kidd is so overrated on these boards, it is insane.

Although most Nets fans will probably disagree with me here I'm going to come out and say it: Nets would have a better record this season if they had Billups instead of Kidd.

I'd take Billups, he's the better defensive player IMO at this stage of their careers. Kidd is the better play-maker and rebounder but I don't think that out-weighs the huge advantage Billups has on him on the offensive end, especially including efficiency.

Billups easily for me. He's a top 3 behind Paul and Nash.

Kidd's scoring is so putrid that it limits his teams offense. Would he even be an all-star this season if he didn't get voted in?

I didn't realize Kidd can't play in the post :rofl:

Chauncey sure does look a lot better with talented teammates though.... Chauncey's better shot is magnified by a team that gets open looks... I have no idea how Kidd is nearly averaging 11 assists on that godawful team right now.

You can really tell who the boxscore fans are here... :lol:
