If we aren't taking health into account Carter deserves to be on that list and Mcgrady should be much higher.

We are taking health into account. If we weren't, McGrady would be in the top 5.

Boozer is 6th in the league in scoring right now I believe, and has a top 5 shooting %. That guy is the best low post scorer in the game right now which is so valuable.

AI is too high. Both Arenas and Wade can score with more volume and higher efficiency. Kevin Martin is probably a better scorer too.

You might want to get Michael Redd in on that list. I'd say he's a better scorer than TMac.

Iverson this year versus Arenas and Wade last year, pace-adjusted per-40

Code: Select all

Player        PTS  FGA  FTA  3PA  FG%  FT%  3P% eFG%  TS%
iverson,alle 24.0 17.4  9.0  2.9 .454 .818 .333 .481 .564
arenas,gilbe 28.1 20.6  9.6  7.8 .418 .844 .351 .484 .565
wade,dwyane  29.8 20.5 11.4  1.7 .491 .807 .266 .502 .583

Note that Arenas and Wade score considerably more than Iverson per 40 minutes with a higher TS%. Arenas was even better the year before, scoring 27.3 points per 40 with a .581 TS%.

Lebron is the best scorer in the league this year. He has the higher ppg, higher fg%, higher PER and his TS% is virtually equal with Kobe's.

PER is a cumilative statistic, assists, rebounds, etc. Not sure what the point of it really is in a scoring thread.

PER 36minutes:
Kobe: 26.9ppg, 49.2%eFG, 56.4%TS
Lebron: 26.7ppg, 51.2%eFG, 56.2%TS

Pretty close if you ask me (scorers only).
