Which one of these young role playing big men woul you take? Both are hard workers, hustle, etc. and are effective starting or coming off the bench.

Their stats are remarkably similar:

Collison 27.1 MPG 9.3 PPG 8.8 RPG

Lee 26.7 MPG 9.9 PPG 8.0 RPG

Both are on bad teams.

So what difference is there between their games, if any?

Kris Humphries owns them both.

Thank you, delusional Raptors fan!

Why do Raptors fans think all of their players are the best? Not everyone on that team is great, you know. If they were, your record would be a lot better than 25-21

I'll take Collison.

David Lee easily. He had a 20 PER last year and a higher PER than Collison this year.

You can have all the PER you want, fact is they're similar in every category and Collison is the better defender

lol, Obviously I was kidding, but I guess you're young to sense sarcasm.

Anyway I'd rather have Lee, who I think has more room to improve.

Collison's opponent PER is 18. Lee's opponent PER is 16.

The Knicks are better with Lee on the floor while the Sonics are worse with Collision playing.

Lee is also the more efficient scorer.

Well, most raptor fans were in love with him a few months back, so I don't blame girly thinking you were serious. And you didn't have green font.

Anyway, I take David Lee, but he's also one of my favourite players....

Lee. His hustle and energy is game changing. He doesn't deserve to play with the rest of the scrubs on the Knicks.

Sonics have a harder strength of schedule.

Also you can't just go by stats to prove the Sonics are "worse" with Collison. The amount of times Seattle has been blowout ( not because of COllison's play ) aren't considered in statistic. So his plus / minus when he is on the floor can go down just because he is on the floor and no one else is doing anything. Sonics are clearly better with Collison on the floor. If you watcged them, you would know this.

Lee always comes in after the Knicks are getting blown out with Randolph/Curry on the floor. Of course they are going to play better when he's the floor, those two suck

Edit:

Neither are scorers. Lee might be more "efficient" but they do the same thing, clean up. Collison is the superior defender. Collison also has been a big contributer to a playoff team. Gimme the proven player that has been on a good team before and contributed than the one who has been on a bad team his whole career

Lee is more athletic, which is sad since he sucks at defending.

I love Lee, but he is what he is. I wish he was 2 inches taller because then he would be our center instead of Mr. 2 big macs away from a heart attack. Am i the only person who wonders how after a heart scare one man can continue to be that fat?

I haven't watched collison as much as i would like, I loved him in college, but by default he is probably a better defender than Lee since Lee is horrible at everything but communication and help defense.

Lee will probably win this though. Lee looks great on the Knicks because it is the knicks. he is a starter, but that is it.

And that factors in each individual players' skills how?

So when he's on the floor, no one else is doing anything, but when he isn't, his team just happens to be more productive?

No, I don't watch Sonics games, if Lee is there when the Knicks are getting blown out (which isn't true btw), is Collison on the floor when the Sonics are getting torched?

Edit:

Neither are scorers. Lee might be more "efficient" but they do the same thing, clean up. Collison is the superior defender. Collison also has been a big contributer to a playoff team. How superior is Collison on D? His opponent PER is higher than Lee's so it's not by much if that it exist at all. Lee is clearly the more efficient scorer regardless of their roles in the offense.

Proven player? What does that supposed to imply? He's been on a playoff team but he clearly isn't the primacy reason why that team made the playoff. Being on the Knicks is not Lee's fault at all; the Knicks are more productive with him on the floor opposed to Collison. It's just how it is.

Well to be fair, Collison starts against the WC PFs while Lee comes off the bench against EC PFs. Collison has to guard Yao when they play. But aside from that, Lee has proven that he is capable of holding his own when he starts. I'd still take Lee though.

So far tonight in the Sonics-Knicks game, Collison is outplaying -- or at least outdoing him in the stat line -- Lee

Late in the 3rd quarter Collison has 9 points and 11 rebounds, while Lee has 4 points and 8 rebounds
