Who is the better player? Jefferson has been on a roll lately, has more 20 and 10 games than Dwight and yao.

Jefferson is good. His numbers are amazing. However, he doesn't dominate the game like Bynum does.

Al Jefferson is the better player and I think it will remain that way but Bynum has a lot of potential so I can be well off in saying Al will remain better.

Now and for the rest of the season AL should be the better player. Bynum, however, will be the better player, and would have been if not injured.

Al Jefferson is better now but not that much. However in the future, I'm going with Andrew Bynum 24/7.

Big AL right now..he's putting up nice numbers and keeping his team in games, despite having a poor supporting cast..the 2nd best player on the team didn't even start playing until last week..
Bynum has the potential in a few years, but he's overrated as of now..a lot more help on his team, including Kobe, who many consider to be the best in the NBA..

we've already had this before and the consensus appeared to be that bynum is better because he plays in los angeles.

Al for now and offense...Bynum for future and defense

Id say defiantly Al Jefferson.
That's no knock on Bynum. Jefferson has no one around him. He's a beast. If he had Kobe getting him the ball, it would not even be a comparison.
Rebounding basically a wash, if not i'd give the edge to Jefferson.
Bynum is the superior Defensive player but Jefferson is a superstar offensively in the post.

Jefferson doesn't even shoot 50% from the floor. What a stud offensively.

hopefully for jefferson he's not playing center much longer. the offensive gap between the two should shrink by next yr to the point where jefferson defense as a center will put him below bynum.

its hard with nowsuppoting-cast...he frequently has to deal with doubleteams and with guys like brewer not beeing able to spread the floor its no surprise %ages arent great...furthermore I wouldnt say he is a bad defender...just not the presens bynum is

For this year, definitely Al Jefferson. But in the future, I think it could be Bynum - he'll probably never be quite as good a scorer as Al, but Bynum's d is already better, and Bynum has the potential to be a dominant defensive C, whereas Al is somewhat of a defensive liability. Rebounding is already basically equal between the two.

Who is the better player?
I love how people just ignore the OP in these comparison threads and pretend like the question asked is whatever they feel like answering. The dude didn't ask "Who do you prefer now and who will you prefer later?" He asked "Who is the better player?" There is zero debate needed, no ifs/ands/buts, because the answer is beyond obvious. Jefferson by a
mile.

Jefferson is a beast and for this season I don't think you can even make the argument for Bynum over Jefferson.
However, Bynum is taller, bigger, and longer. His got more potential and is already a better defensive player. By next year, but most likely 2, it will by Bynum.

You're kidding? His post game is miles ahead of Bynum right now, and probably will be for the future. I'd even say Big Al has the best post game in the league compared to all the young bigs.
And yes, Al only shoots 49% (50%, actually), but he takes 17.8 shots, meaning he's the only threat for defenses and with that supporting cast, gets doubled and tripled all the time. Give Bynum that crap of a supporting cast and 18 shots per game. It won't be that pretty,
unless he can hit a sky hook consistently, because Kareem said it
And I wouldn't consider Bynum's game to be "dominant" right now... I'd say Al, despite his defensive struggles, is still the more dominant player... look at his 40/19 game, 26/20 game, 33/16 game, 39/15 game, etc. And I'm not even a T'Wolves or Al Jefferson fan...
