How about we extend the big 3 to Nash, Shaq, Amare, Hill, Bell and Barbosa.
I like the Suns a LOT now. They actually have depth after their big 3.

Exactly. I think the Shaq will actually help the Suns dramatically. Think of the Lakers in the '80s when Hakeem was on his last legs. He played slow, but that team played fast. That's how I think the Suns will be. They will still play fast, but now they have the versatility to play in a halfcourt offense, and play just as well.
BTW, can you just imagine Shaq in that offense? He is such a great passer from the paint that you just cannot do anything. If you double team him, he can pass to Amare who won't have any defenders on him, a slasher in Hill, or Nash, Bell or Barbosa to hit a three. If you single team him, he will just muscle his way through and dominate the paint.
Not only do I see the Suns as having the best "Big Three," But I see them as winning a championship in the next two seasons, if not winning in both, although chemistry seems to be their biggest obstacle.

OK. Extend the Lakers' big 3 to Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Farmar, Turiaf, Luke, Sasha, Ariza, Mihm, Fisher.

I don't like Odom so much, he's a real great talent, but I don't know how good he can be as a complementary type player, can he play a lesser role and still be effective? I just think that guys like Bell, Barbosa and Hill can fit in perfect with the Suns big 3 and will get better playing off of them.

Odom doesn't want to be the second or even the third option. He's absolutely made for the 4th option which he will be. Odom likes being the "glue" guy and he's does the dirty work for us. If Odom, Gasol, Bynum can all average around 10 rebs, the Suns have no chance.

kevin garnett is the only big defensive monster in these comparisons. his influence in creating a great defense can't be overlooked. gotta go with those big 3.

The crazy thing is the Lakers also have 15/9/5 Odom, Phil Jackson, and a bunch of role players.
