How good is he? Is he a top 3 sf? Is he a top 20 player?

I think he's a top 20 player for sure. Top 3 SF? No. He's no where near as good as Lebron, McGrady, Melo.
He's a nice player to have for sure. He can't hurt your team. He can only do good.

Hmmmm......
I always thought he is overrated(Especially his defense) ...
No way he is either a top20 player or a top3 SF......

Agreed. I think it'll be interesting to watch Marion play without Nash. He's going to have to create shots for himself now.

Marion was an All-star and a 20/10 player before Nash. And I hear there's some guy in Miami named Wade that's pretty good at creating shots for his teammates.

doesn't really matter how good he is on his own, he has Wade now, who is as good if not better than "good marbury".

Not a top 20 player or top 3 SF IMO.

Not a top 3 SF imo, but I think he could crack the top 20. His rebounding out of the SF spot is such a benefit, and now without the slow lumbering centers the heat are better suited for an tempo style, which suits both star players really. Marion should be able to do just find offensively with Wade as a playmaker.

I didn't say he's going to be bad without Nash. I said that it'll be interesting to see.

He is behind
LeBron
Melo
Pierce
in terms of SFs.. And on par with guys like Caron Butler and Josh Howard... I see him averaging about 19 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block in Miami

I think he's a top 25, top 6 SF, and for Shaq, thats good enough, you robberbarons.

I think he is a top-25 and top 5-6-SF...The thing with him is, that he is a great clomplementary player but not a #1...you never could build a team around him but as a #2 he is just great

I'm very excited about seeing him in Miami. Add in a lottery pick, another trade of one of our expiring picks for a decent big, and the MLE and LLE, and Miami is a much improved team.
Unfortunately, I can't say he's a top 3 small forward or a top 20 player. I think top 6 and top 25, as has been mentioned by others in this thread, is probably more accurate. Melo, Pierce, McGrady, and James are all better. He's in the second tier with guys like Prince, Jefferson, Artest, Shard, and Gerald Wallace (as well as some others) some of whom are probably better.
I really like what Marion can do for the Heat. I look forward to seeing the defensive dynamic that Banks, Wade, Haslem, and Marion present to their opponents, as all of those guys are good to spectacular defenders. They'll be able to stop people and score. We just need a defensive center, a starting point guard, and some depth, and I really believe we're going to cause some damage...

Did Marbury? He was 20/10 with Marbs.
And let's not forget that Wade can actually create for others, as well...

People expect his numbers to decrease because he's playing in a more halfcourt system without the caliber of creator he's used to. Lost in that is that he gets to play his natural position, and is a one-man fastbreak, now playing in the east. He'll be just fine.
