'Right now' implies the recent past. Last seven games:
Bargnani - 17.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, .43 blocks.
Boone - 9.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, .86 blocks.
I'd take Bargs under that measure.

Agreed, I'll take Bargnani.

Give me the guy who rebounds and actually plays in the paint, Boone already has more value than Barney.
Edit: Wow I just looked up Barney's stats and he rebounds at a rate worse than Eddy Curry, he's by far the worse rebounding bigman in the league, not to mention he shoots below .400 from the field LOL! Not bad for a 7 footer

Right now implies this season. A player doesn't magically improve that much throughout the course of a NBA season because of the lack of individual practice time.
Also if you're just going to post the numbers from the last 7 games why don't you post Boone's 71% field goal percentage?

Wow, I never realized that Boone shot so well from the floor the past 7 games.
I guess I only realized that the Nets were losing.

Good. I'm not sure if it was that obvious that I was trying to compare Josh Boone and Andrea Bargnani in this thread... I mean with how ambiguously I worded the thread title and all...

yeah o.k.
that's why you put, who would you rather have
right now.. knowing that bargs has been playing like **** for the most part of this season, and Boone has been getting touches on a garb squad with no C.

Good lord, if you can't handle a X vs Y comparison thread maybe you shouldn't post

Bargnani is a much better player.. he brings that x factor on O,being able to break a game open when he gets hot and can and be a very very dangerous player.. and boone well he vasn get you 7 points and 6 boards on a horrid team huh tough decesion. While boone he plays in the worst front court in hte league and putting up barely noticable numbers How the **** do you shoot 38% from the line??? it beats me.... if you switch teams bargs would easily be a top 4 sopohmore this year, while boone would barely play.

looks like bargs may be in the "knicks zone" where his play warrants a comparison to a knick just to see crazy comments by their fans. here comes mardy collins vs. bargnani thread.

Just because Bargnani had a one month stretch of terrible terrible games, does not mean he has to be underrated and compared to scrubs like Boon.
Bargnani has gotten over his slump and is now playing great basketball, and showing great signs of improvement.

I still LOL when people bring up team records to compare players. Just last year I saw raps fans say bargnani is better and will always be better than Roy and Gay because he proved he can help a ''winning team''.... Hows that working our for ya??
Josh boone may be the starting C on the 'worst frontcourt'' in the league, but since the moment he began starting he's averaging:
10.6 pts 9.1 rebs .540 FG% thats pretty damn good considering he was the 23rd pick in a so so draft...
So i'll take the guy who actually plays like a bigman... and not Mr. 3 rebs every 24 minutes...
