Of course, I'm a Raps fan, so my opinion is hardly neutral...but Carter is simply a difficult player to like at this point. I was watching the Jason Kidd Farewell Tour for much of the first half of the season, and found myself getting annoyed with Carter for floating on the perimeter, just as I did when he played for Toronto.
Tonight was another example; certainly, the Nets were in trouble with so many players missing, but Carter simply looked like he wanted to leave...only 2 of his 15 shots were taken inside the paint, and one of those was an open dunk on a fast break.
Carter's numbers are still solid, but Turkoglu is close enough on his heels in that regard that it's really hard not to reward the player on the better club, especially given the lack of enthusiasm for Carter among many of his team's fans.

Your love-fest for Carter is disturbing at best. I hate to break it to you once again, but Hedo > Carter this year.

2) Allen
3) JJ
4) Carter

Apart from 3pt Shooting I really dont see the difference between the 2...
Turkoglu has become extremely overrated here in realgm

Turk's numbers are at least equal and better in some areas, plus you got him playing and helping a winning team.
1. Turkoglu
2. Carter
3. Johnson
4. Allen

Well, seeing as Carter only beats Hedo in two of those categories, and Hedo's team > Carter's team...

Don't forget Hedo is taller!
Joking aside, I don't think he's becoming extremely overrated. People just giving him props for what he done so far this year, being clutch and helping the Magic win. VC, on the other hand, just seem to coast through every game, if he try a bit, it's no contest.

Hedo's a third option* who rarely sees a double team.
Carter is a first option who faces nightly double teams, the best defender on the other team, and has to break down defenses single handedly for the most part.
All of that while being on one leg. You can't just point at stats and say OH LOOK Hedo's as good as Carter. You're just deluding yourself. Carter has much more of an impact on a game.
*2nd or 3rd. Varies night to night.

Hedo and Carter are both second options on their teams if you ask me.
Hedo has the play maker role with the Magic, Carter has the scorer/feed off of Jason Kidd role on the Nets.

Turkoglu only beat him out in 3 categories so again not much different.
Oh and don't make it out as if he were the most important player on your team, Howard is the sole reason you guys have a top 3 record in the east...

Hedo is the first option in the second half normally. Otherwise the second. It's the same with Carter; him and RJ take turns.
Plus it's not like the Nets are doing well with him as the main option...

I can't beleive Johnson's making the ASG this year. His team isn't that good. He's shooting horribly. For an allstar his #'s are a little too close to Jamal Crawford imo.
