Who is each person?!

Post#1 » by Raps12 » Fri Feb 15, 2008 8:10 pm

Please tell me who each player is and why you think it is that player based on the stats given. 1 Rule, do not use a stats site to look the answer up. 1 Hint, they are all PG's

Qualified Stats:
2 pt field goal percentage (PG)
3 pt percentage (PG)
free throw percentage (PG)
assist/turnover ratio (All Positions)
assists per game (All Positions
assists per 48 minutes (All Positions)
PER
Minutes (The 5 Compared Players)

I will not give specific numbers, but rather where they RANK as per the stat and qualified players.

Player A:

2 pt field goal percentage: #14
3 pt percentage: #12
free throw percentage: #12
assist/turnover ratio: #18 **Correction**
assists per game: #3
assists per 48 minutes: #3T
PER:#94
Min: #2

Player B:

2 pt field goal percentage:#7
3 pt percentage: #16
free throw percentage: #6
assist/turnover ratio: #3
assists per game: #2
assists per 48 minutes: #2
PER: #3
Min: #1

Player C:

2 pt field goal percentage: #1
3 pt percentage: #1
free throw percentage: #1
assist/turnover ratio: #1
assists per game: #5
assists per 48 minutes: #3T
PER: #14
Min: #5

Player D:

2 pt field goal percentage: #3
3 pt percentage: #2
free throw percentage: #3
assist/turnover ratio: #15
assists per game: #1
assists per 48 minutes: #1
PER: #18
Min: #4

Player E:

2 pt field goal percentage: #2
3 pt percentage: #7
free throw percentage: #14
assist/turnover ratio: #22
assists per game: #4
assists per 48 minutes: #5
PER: #26
Min:#3

So now my question to you. Rank the players 1-5 on who is playing the best, and AFTER you have done that, guess as to who they are! :)

I am not trying to promote Jose Calderon as the number one PG. I am only trying to point how good of a season he is having to the doubters. Specifically in this case the doubters after Arenas' blog entry. The majority of you are on the same page I am, in that Calderon was snubbed from the ASG however at the same time many are not. That was the only motive behind this, I would have included Arenas on the list if he had played significant time this year.

And for the record:

A=Jason Kidd
B=Chris Paul
C=Jose Calderon
D=Steve Nash
E=Deron Williams

A Raptors fan complaining about how we complain about them because of their man crush on their point guard, pretty typical don't you think?

No one cares about Calderon. No matter what you do, your not going to get anyone outside the Raptors fan base to care about Calderon, just give it up.

Yes mother........ :roll:

Just because I am a Raps fan does not mean I am a troll or a egotistical fan, I really only post at all if i have something to say that I am sure of (70 posts in 8 months).

Just because I had a main focus to starting this thread does not mean that Calderon can be the only point to it things such as Kidd's very lackluster season, high turnover/assist ration for Nash etc.

Stop dissing Raps fans, we won't stop posting. Might as well give up

Scroll down.

Despite you obvious need to believe that no one cares, (yes, master of the world, you speak for everyone) he has been getting a lot of buzz from the league. I mean, even form his superb bench performance last year, teams were trying to knock down the door to get him. You know nothing of that any of the GM's or coaches think. Just because the idiots in the media don't appreciate effectiveness and efficiency, does not mean no one does.

Once again, another Raptors fan tryin to tell us Calderon is god. If he was so great, you would let his play speak for itself. Just the fact that you have to justify his greatness everyday is proof he isn't all you crack him up to be.

So let's see...using your logic everybody who supports Calderon is a Raps fan trying to make him god?! I think not. Stop being so narrow minded. And if letting his stats be the basis of my thread how is that not letting his play speak for himself? If people did not speak up for the players nobody would ever get noticed...

I respectfully ask you to contribute to the thread i created as per the topic or not post in it. Thanks

:crazy:

I was not trying to tell you how Calderon is god, or was I justifying his greatness.

I was refuting your point that no one cares buy sowing you an article of someone caring and telling you how much attention the guy has been recieving from the basketball community.

I repeat;

Just because the idiots in the media don't appreciate effectiveness and efficiency, does not mean no one does.
