Andrew Bynum VS Andris Biedrins

Whose got a better future?

They are top 2 in FG% right now.

Bynum is strong while Biedrins has the speed advantage.

Bynum has to create his own shots while Biedrins have to have Davis/Jackson do 100 miles per hour pass in short distance for a layup or dunk.

Biedrins has suffered no injuries so far in his career, while Bynum could have several in his career in the rough and tough way hes playing

Biedrins has soft hands which he is able to catch those rocket passes by Jackson and Davis in the low post.

Andrew Bynum has a better future, because he's gonna win championships.

Bynum. Only if he continues his play as of late.

Andris Biedrins is the safe choice but I don't see him being a big offensive player.

I would say Bynum easily. If he stays on his current path of improvement, he'll likely be one of the top big men in the league for years to come.

Bynum... no contest...

Biedrins may have had a chance w/a different coach, but not here, not now... Bynum's improvement was astounding and the Lakers figure to keep him involved in the offense and defense, he's clearly on the path to be much better than Biedrins right now.

There are lots of things Biedrins has the advantage in... but they are more "tools" things than legitimate, basketball skills.

You can break down the players bit by bit and keep finding things Biedrins is better at, but when you get to the bottom line, final result, the matchup isn't even close.

Especially when it relates to our defense... Biedrins has very quick hands, deflects a lot of passes, gets a lot of tips, that sort of thing... meanwhile Bynum can literally lift C's out of the key and put them on the low block...

I what the Lakers did with Bynum... stuck him in the fire, see what they had with him, whether or not he should stick around afterwards... if only other franchises operated like that

well, bynum didn't exactly get "stuck in the fire" anymore than andris biedrins. in his first 3 yrs, andris got 13 mpg, 15 mpg, 29 mpg. in this 4th season he seems to have peaked at 27-30 mpg, with similar stats as last yr (10/10). andrew bynum barely got 7 mpg his first yr, only jumping up to 22 last yr due to injury.

i don't think the difference is so much putting them in the fire as much as keeping them there. andris shouldn't be getting benched.

Well I was referring more to getting them the ball in the game... Nellie has this idea that Andris has no offensive game because he cannot shoot like the rest of the team.

I may be mistaken, but the Lakers gave Bynum the ball a lot (when I've watched)... they allowed him to grow into the star he is. Its been asked a lot on our board, since we picked Diogu in front of him, but - if Bynum were a Warrior, do you think he'd be anywhere near where he's at right now?

There's no comparison. Bynum is going to be a top 2 center in the league and a franchise player. Biedrins will be one of the better role playing centers.

I wish Biedrins had Kareem teach him everything,
Bynum wins... pretty easily as the future.

The only thing's i can see Biendrins be better then Bynum are, speed, quickness, blocking (being a lefty is a good thing for this), having softer hands, deflecting balls.

Bynum has a bigger body, better offensive game, better defensive game, better at passing out of the paint, ....etc.. wtv Bynum in the future.

But I'm still leery about that knee.

His knee is fine. Expected to make 100% recovery and no surgery.

The warrior fan is right. Phil said that the Lakers bent over for Bynum - allowed him to develop, gave him the minutes, and Phil always make it to a point to call plays for him --- oh add the fact that Kupchak chose Bynum over Kidd.

But then they had to because anyone with half an eye can see the raw talent seething.

Obviously, Bynum is better than God himself. Lakers wouldn't trade him for TWO LeBron Jameses.

Agreed...

The biggest difference between the 2 is
-Bynum is a lot wider, allows him to become a traditional post player.
-Biedrins knows how to position himself for assists much better

Biedrins has tremendous skills, but they're overlooked. Bynum at this point can back down Biedrins without knowing Biedrins is down there to begin with.

You can't but take Bynum for all the progress he's made.

Bynum easily. But Biedrins is no slouch himself.
