Parker because i like what he does on the defensive side of the ball.

easily parker, he shoots the ball better I find, and isn't just a spot up shooter. He also has the ability to defend and finish around the basket.

Parker. Hes better at everything. and the 3PT% isn't even close.

Parker is a much better all round player than Korver.

Parker is a better all-around player, no doubt (and I'm a Jazz fan). That said, although it doesn't seem like much of a stat, part of Korver's value to our team has been the FT% (note that it's over 100 points higher than Parker's). We can actually give him the ball at the end of close games and know the other team is taking a big risk in fouling him.

As I said in another thread somewhere, it's like in football having a big running back that can keep grinding out 3-4 yards and chewing up the clock. It's one of the reasons a relatively small trade has had a big impact.

So again, I'd say Parker is a better player, but don't overlook that Korver has a significant advantage in one area the Jazz really needed badly.

Yep that should be noted. While Parker's higher 3pt% does give him the higher EFG%, Korvers superior in ft% which ends up giveing them both about the same TS%. So overall they are pretty much about the same effficiently.

They both can handle the ball a bit, but arn't exceptional at it. Both can shoot of screens, and shoot the 3. I'de take Parker just because from a 10-11ppg scorer role player I like having him bring some more D.

For me, definitely Parker. The FT% issue is certainly valid but Parker's a much better defender.

I wouldn't make TOO much of the 3PT% issue at the moment because Korver was slumping pretty hard in the first part of the season; remember, Korver has three consecutive 40%+ 3PT shooting seasons under his belt already (and a 39.1% season as a rookie), on 7, 5 and 4 attempts a game (and he took about 3 a game as a rook), whereas Parker has been outstanding at 44%+ last year and this year on about 3.5, 4 attempts again.

Korver's still a spectacular three-point shooter but the major differences here are that Parker is a better defender and is a little bit better as at creating a shot for himself.

I wouldn't make too much of the rebounding gap because Korver plays with Okur, Boozer and Millsap and Parker plays on the fourth-worst offensive rebounding team in the league (and 22nd overall in rebound rate).

I choose Parker but let's be mindful of where the gaps really are.
