If the Mavs and Suns meet in the playoffs this year, who wins in 7?

Phoenix Suns

PG-Steve Nash/Leonardo Barbosa

vs

Dallas Mavericks

PF-Dirk Nowitzki/Brendan Bass
SF-Josh Howard/Antoine Wright/Devean George
SG- Eddie Jones/Jerry Stackhouse
PG-Jason Kidd/Jason Terry

I say Dallas because I'm not sold on Shaq being in better shape than he was earlier this year. Now with Wright their SF spot got deeper also. Dirk is long enough to give Amare problems on the defensive end. Dirk will have his way with Amare but when Boris comes off the bench Dirk may disappear. Malik Allen has a nice jumper but so does Skinner. Josh vs Grant? I gotta go with Josh. I just think with guys like Terry, StackHouse, & Wright coming off the bench is gonna be too much for PHX in 7 games. Dallas in 7 games

dallas in 4 games

they actually gave up scrubs in return for kidd

yeh harris is a scrub, but at least they didnt lose guys like stackhouse or terry who lights up from the bench and proven performers in the playoffs.....

lol harris is a scrub?

I would say Dallas in 6, but that's because I don't see Shaq fitting in in PHX at all.

This all entirely depends on how well Shaq performs as a Suns. If he fits well, I can see this series going into 7 games on a coin flip. These two teams will just be that good. If Shaq doesn't, Dallas in 5.

I actually think PHX matches up really well against Dallas, so I'm picking PHX.

i'll take the team that actually has a big man that plays defense and another big man that attempts to play defense

Phx in 4

dallas will continue to drown in the playoffs as long as dirk refuses to play D or rebound.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about. No, Dirk's d is not great. He's not terrible though, and certainly not bad enough to keep Dallas from having success in the playoffs. I can't prove that with a stat, but as for rebounding Dirk averages 11.1 boards a game in the postseason.

You are clueless. We have one of the best defenses in the league and we are one of the best rebounding teams. So gtfo

so then why does Dirk's defense get exposed every time you guys lose in the playoffs? Just accept that until Josh Howard is the best player on your team (2 years) you aren't winning a championship.
