At this point, even I'll say the Jazz.

Last year was a wash, this year has been weird. Jazz have waxed the Hornets twice, which coincidentally enough were the 3rd loss in a row for the Hornets (at that time). For perspective, the Hornets have only lost 3 in a row twice this year, and both times the Jazz were the last to beat them before they reeled off a bunch of wins. 23/30 after the first one, 5 in a row now since the last one.

I'd like to see both teams playing at full strength and on all cylinders.

Now, this will inevitably turn into yet another Deron v. Paul debate.

PG:

Deron Williams always seems to outplay CP3; However I do think Pargo and James can help make up the difference, especially when compared to Miles/Price

adv: Hornets

______________________________________________________________

SG:

Brewer and Korver are playing much better than Peterson/Wells this season

adv: Jazz

______________________________________________________________

SF:

Peja is playing great, especially lately, but he has been known to disappear in the playoffs... Kirilenko and Harpring are/have been pretty solid this year

adv: Jazz

______________________________________________________________

PF:

Boozer>West; Millsap>Ely

adv: Jazz

______________________________________________________________

C:

Tyson Chandler is a beast, Memo Okur has been declining since the beginning of LAST season... only shooting 42/38% this year... Gimme Tyson

adv: Hornets

______________________________________________________________

Coaching:

Scott vs Sloan, both great coaches but I gotta go with Scott.... Jazz started out slow with a team that made to the WCF last year, Hornets are in 1st place with a team many expected to miss the playoffs

adv: Scott

I personally think this series would go 7, but I'll take Hornets because I think they would have home court

Who has home-court? ...I'm guessing the Hornets?

I'll go with the Jazz because of experience...

which part was I wrong about? Oh I forgot to mention that Scott has the same number of finals appearances in a fraction of the time Sloan has been coaching....

Why didnt you answer my question? which part was I wrong about??? the fact that Scott's Hornets are in first place? The fact that the Jazz got off to a slow start? Or the fact that they have the same number of finals appearances??

How can anyone deny that Scott is doing a better coaching job than Sloan right now? He is the leading candidate for Coach of the Year... take off the homer goggles

And the East was really good back when the Nets made the Finals twice. Oh, and the Nets also were really competitive in those series. If you don't understand sarcasm, I'm implying that exactly the opposite of those two statements is true. I am by no means a Sloan homer and I can't deny that the Jazz went through a rough patch this season. However, that doesn't mean that the Jazz don't have an advantage in the coaching department (and in general).

The Jazz and Hornets simply isn't an even matchup. The Jazz are great against some teams, the Hornets against some teams are great, but when it comes to them playing eachother the Jazz have the huge advantage.

All Im saying is that Scott has done a better job THIS YEAR, and I'd take Scott RIGHT NOW..

Again who picked the Hornets to make the playoffs this year? Who is in first place in the West right now?
