Chandler's been better in helping his team win this year. I'll take Chandler.

Emeka Okafor is the better player here. Tyson Chandler is mainly a great help defender and a decent man defender, great rebounder, with a fairly limited offensive game reliant on dunks, and layups created by Chris Paul and putbacks. Emeka Okafor is a superior man defender, a comparable help defender, and a comparable rebounder (Tyson's Rebound Rate is 20.6 while Okafor's is 19.0.) Okafor has a better offensive game than his numbers indicate because Charlotte horribly misuses him on offense. He gets his points from an effective low post game, the occasionally short range jumper or hook, and putbacks, dunks and layups. Not many easy buckets are created for Okafor by his PGs, Felton occasionally gets him good looks, but this season especially, Emeka is less involved on offense due to JRich and GWallace. Tyson's TS% of .621 vs. Emeka's .542 is a testament to Chris Paul's playmaking ability rather than Tyson's offense. Emeka averages 13.4PPG to Tyson's 11.9PPG. Emeka is a better defender and a slightly less effecient, but more productive offensive player.

Give Okafor Paul getting him the rock and he would be amazing.

He probably would avg a bit more points, but amazing? Okafor is very raw offensively. He doesn't have great hands (has trouble catching at times), and unless it's an automatic dunk, he also has trouble finishing. He's not the athlete Chandler is as well, the Hornets have a play they always run where they spread the court with their shooters, run the P & R and it either ends up with a three point shot, Paul drive, or Chandler alley dunk attempt. That's their favorite play, and it wouldn't be successful with Okafor.

I'll take Chandler.

On my team I'd take Okafor. He'd be a perfect PF for Orlando.. I guess Chandler's better but I don't get to see much of him

Okafor is definitely better; he's actually a MUCH better shot-blocker, a comparable rebounder and notably more effective as a scorer... and this gap would only widen if he didn't have idiots at the point (*cough*Felton*cough*).

Okafor is a lot better than Chandler but it's hard to see in Charlotte.

I don't have a doubt in my mind that if Okafor was playing with Chris Paul- Emeka would be a 20 & 10 player.

That, I doubt. He's not THAT good a scorer and the Hornets do also have David West and Peja Stojakovic; their outside shooting is a critical part of the Hornets' offense, so there would be no sense in routinely going inside to a player who isn't THAT dominant.

All things being equal, Okafor is better. Look at where Chandler's career was with Kirk Hinrich, a good PG, but not good enough to make Chandler look good. Okafor is a better defender and better offensively though that doesn't say much.
