Cavs have Big Z and Big Ben starting.

Off the bench they have AV and Joe Smith.

What team has a better front court .......... depth wise?

Lakers and Detroit come to mind. Maybe the Rockets?

A healthy Denver squad (like that will ever happen)

I really don't know, that might be in the top 5 in the league if Ben plays well.

People are acting like Big Ben is good and like he actually fits next to Illgauskas.

Are we talking big men or frontcourts? Because front courts includes the small forward position, the Cavs have the best SF in the leauge.

Cleveland has a lot of name value now on their frontcourt, but Wallace has sucked all year. AV is what he is and Joe Smith is a servicable big man. 4 solidish players is nice, but Cleveland's frontline still scares no one.

Clevelands frontline has never scared anyone, and yet they've been one of the best rebounding front lines for years. This actually might make them even better both rebounding and on defense.

Cleveland's frontline is good because of its versatility. They can create different pairings depending on their matchup.

Mixing and matching 2 more offensive minded players and 2 defensive/rebounding type players gives helps them match up with any team they play.

Doesn't scare me at all. But it is an improvement, and not a bad frontcourt.

I think Wallace will be very Good in Cleveland. I like what they did with the front court.

Assuming you mean "bigs" (5 and 4) and not "front court" (5, 4 and 3), the Cavs have nice depth, but unspectacular high-end talent. For a mix of depth (4 serviceable bigs) and high-end talent, I'll take:

Lakers - Bynum/Pau/Turiaf/Mihm

Raptors - Bargs/Bosh/Rasho/Hump

Spurs - Oberto/Duncan/Bonner/Horry

Suns - Shaq/Amare/Skinner/Diaw (subsitute Marks for Diaw if you don't consider Boris a 4)

Pre Jason Kidd trade the Mavs looked pretty deep too with Dampier/Dirk/Diop/Bass.

And that's not even including teams with 3 true PFs and Cs, as well as SFs who can play spot mins at PF (like Denver with Camby/Kmart/Nene and spot mins at the 4 from Melo, or Utah with Boozer/Okur/Millsap and spot mins at the 4 from AK, etc.).

Obviously if you mean actual front-court (3, 4 and 5), the Cavs are a lot stronger due to LeBron.

Big Ben and Big Z has to be the slowest 4/5 combo in the league. I have many questions about how good they will really be.

cavs got better depth, but there are still teams that are better at those positions

A lot of these players are horrible, Bonner, Rasho, Mihm, Humphries should not be used on any list to prove a point. I've played about as many meaningful minutes this season as Mihm. Andrea is essentially a 7"1 shooting guard, he cant rebound to save his life for someone so big. The Raptors frontcourt especially, they are so weak defensively that I dont see why they are brought up as being better than the Cavs.

The Cavs have excellent depth at the 4 and 5 slots. Not sure if it is the best. But good quality none the less.

I liked them better with Drew Gooden.. He got the Cavs a lot of second chance points, making up for LeBron's misses. If you give LeBronmore than a single shot attempt in a possession it is very unlikely he wont score.

you like gooden and marshal frontcourt better then wallace/ smith?

Ever heard of injuries you nimrod? Mihm when healthy is a 10ppg 7rpg 1.5bpg player

The Cavs have always had a tremendously good frontline outside of LeBron. They have wonderful big men in Big Z and AV, and Joe Smith and Ben Wallace more than make up for Gooden even if Big Ben is feeling his age at this point. That's a lot of great defense, length, shot blocking, and tons of rebounding. If they get a shooting guard, watch out.
