Nuggets Or Warriors?
Who will get the the 8th spot? I think the 1-7 will be a lock in the playoffs, just seeding keep changing.

I think GS is just too inconsistent. Denver has a better team and a better roster top to bottom than GS, and they don't play nearly as much "hit or miss" basketball that the Warriors do.
Denver is my pick. But they are in a funk right now, so GS could easily climb back in it. Both are practically 1st round knockouts to whoever gets them IMO though. (Well, unless Dallas gets GS

Man I hate it when people say something like the Warriors will only succeed in the playoffs "if they play Dallas".
The only reason people say that is because they've seen us beat them. They didn't believe it until they saw it happen. I know for sure that if no one ever saw the Warriors beat Dallas last postseason, they would all think that the Warriors have no chance in hell on beating them.
And here we go again this year, people are saying we can't beat other teams.... "unless it's Dallas". But if no one ever saw how good the Warriors play against Dallas, you wouldn't even be thinking that we could beat them. So if you have to SEE something to be a believer, than why are people so quick to say the Warriors would get eliminated in the first round? Have you ever seen us in a playoff series against the Suns? the Rockets? A series against the Mavs, Rockets or Suns could go either way....

After looking at the remaining schedules to close out the season I think it is in the favor of Golden State to get the final spot over Denver. But I think Denver has the better shot of advancing if they make it. I watch every single warriors game being a local fan and if there is one thing that we struggle doing is containing BIGS. That means Utah, SA, LA, HOU, Now PHX, would all own us in a 7 game series. Not to mention bad team free throw percentage although it has improved some.

Even if they miss the playoffs they'll still win around 50 games(and have around a top 10 record in the league)....so it's not exactly like they'd have disappointed too much, especially given they've gone all year without two starters.
I still think Denver makes the playoffs. They always seem to finish really well.....a few years ago they ended the season 26-4.....last year it was a 10-1 finish(while facing a very tough schedule too, I might add). They just know how to turn it on when they need to(their biggest problem is that they don't play consistently well all season long, too lackadaisical at times).

Warriors are 33-16 post jack. I've been saying all along, if they had him and went 3-2 in those first six games, they'd be freakin 36-19 right now! The bad news is..that'd only move them up from 8th to 7th lol (cough 3rd best record in the east).
The West is gonna be crazy this year but my vote goes to the Nuggs. Warriors are one or two injuries away from dropping out of this historically sick race...bad news they just had two of em

The Warriors really came together last season as they battled for the final spot. They basically beat teams through chemistry. If they are still in it with three weeks left, don't count them out.
And no matter who is fighting for the last spot, the end of the regular season in the west is going to be crazy!

Nuggets just because Biedrins and Jackson are going to miss time together...the 1-2 punch of losing our only real big man and one of our leaders for even just 2 weeks is enough to drop us out of the increadibly tight West.
But the Nuggets have the most talent for the least # of wins in the NBA. Melo, AI, Camby and all they can get is the 8/9 seed?
