Yes, but he doesn't deserve to be.

Of course.

Just curious, why do Laker fans/homers dislike Nash? Is it a Kobe thing or is it the playoffs?

It would be a travesty if a man who won 2 MVP's back to back didn't get in the HoF.

Absolutely, 1st ballot

If 2 MVPs don't get you into the HoF, I don't know what will.

Ask why Suns fans don't like Kobe, why Jazz fans don't like Paul, why Spurs fans don't like KG.

I think it is pretty obvious.

But I know for a fact that most fans have respect for great players, just don't like them.

Of course. I am not saying that all fans are the same.

I believe so. He's gonna play atleast 3 more years in my opinion. But even now with 2 mvps, I think it's enough.

No question, he's in!

I am not a great Nash fan, but a double MVP *HAS* to be in the HOF.

Absolutely. The only real knock on him was that, as a late bloomer, his career counting stats would be insufficient for a Hall of Famer.

However, by the time he's done, Nash will likely be top eight in career assists (he needs roughly 1400 to catch Rod Strickland, which he should have midway through '09/'10), and all of the players above him, with the exception of Mark Jackson, are current or soon-to-be Hall members.

Add six (and counting) All-Star appearances, two MVPs and a 2nd place finish, and there is no doubt; even had he finished runner-up for the MVP all three seasons, I suspect that he would get in.

If Tim hardaway isn't in the HOF, then Nash has no business being there. If Hardaway is in, then I guess there is no problem with Nash being in there.

I was talking about this quote in particular

Yes, but he doesn't deserve to be.

and the content in the 100000 Steve Nash based threads that have materialized this week.

But he has such a sick crossover!!!

Nash is definately in. Two MVP's and being the catalyst of most of the best offenses of the decade will get him in for sure. Everything he has done and will do since the second MVP is just gravey. And no Tim Hardaway is not as good as Nash. He was never the passer Nash is and even though he scored more, Nash just massacres him on efficiency.

He's been in since his first season with the Suns.
