Why so many Arenas polls now? He is at his lowest point and has been out all season so of course everyone is going to pick Iverson. It's no point of having this thread, no disrespect to you.

Wasn't there just a thread EXACTLY like this a week ago? Look at page 2 or 3 JordansBulls...

Last year, it was Arenas pretty easily. If we're going by careers, then it's obviously Iverson.

And to compare them this season just isn't fair.

Arenas not only touched Iverson last year, he ran right by.

Please leave your bias at the door.

Iverson > Arenas this year.

Arenas > Iverson last year.

Iverson > Career wise as of now.

Arenas > Iverson for the future.

/thread.

Iverson > Arenas this year. (Arenas is out, so we don't know, but would still have to play at a very high level to beat out AI)

Arenas > Iverson last year. (Really not fair considering AI sat out 20 games waiting to get traded to a team with a player of his level, but again, Arenas had a great year.)

Iverson > Career wise as of now. (Of course and Arenas has some work to do to stay as consistent as AI has for a decade.)

Arenas > Iverson for the future. (I would bet on Arenas as well, but surely no lock with the way AI is still playing at a high level.)

/thread.

idk, but the Wizards' gold jerseys just completely fit Arenas so I do not want him to ever leave that team. At first I laughed my ass off at those jerseys, but now they are my favorite in the league, so I would rather take AI. Plus, two surgeries on the same knee just scares me.

There's a thread like this usually every 3 weeks, and I'll go with the same answer as I've always did; Iverson.

Which is ironic because this post is rather insulting to Arenas.

I mean, just how bad is Gilbert that a thread comparing him to Iverson is insulting?

Is he a team cancer? Does he not put up nearly 30/6/4 with excellent efficiency?

If the thread is about Arenas' career thus-far compared to Iverson's career, then yes, it's insulting considering Gilbert hasn't even hit the prime of his career while Iverson has accomplished many great things.

But let's not exaggerate. Iverson and Arenas, at this point, are comparable players. Many (who actually remember how good Arenas was before his injury, which has clouded people's memory) think Arenas was the better player last year.

Yeah, I for one thought that Arenas had finally crossed AI last season.

Then again, last season was a down year for AI so I'm not really sure :S

It's kind of unfair to Gilbert, but in general I think people have forgotten how good he is when healthy. And BIGGER, I think people forget that Gilbert is still pretty young.

I think it's a little unfair to iverson also..
they're at different points in their careers.
I'd still pick iverson though

comparing arenas to anyone rite now is  last year he was being compared to wade and kobe on these boards. of course he wasnt winning but he was getting votes. everyone has forgotten what he is capable of because he hasnt played for 4 months!!
