Post#1 » by thaAteam » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:16 am

the boston celtics get alot of attention for the big three they have, my question is who has the best big three in the nba? you can nominate any trio you want from a team but the catch is they all have to have been an all star before?

Even if Ray Allen is not was he used to be,but he is better than any third better player or third better scorer of other team.

1. San Antonio - Parker, Duncan, Ginobili (you can't beat the experience, and no matter what anyone wants to say about KG, Duncan is still the better player/leader)
2. Boston - KG, Allen, Pierce
3. Phoenix - Nash, Shaq, Amare (if Shaq continued putting up 11/11)
4. Denver - Camby, AI, Melo
5. Los Angeles - excluding Bynum since we haven't seen everyone together, I'm just looking at the Odom, Kobe, Gasol pair and how they're playing now)
6. Dallas - Howard, Dirk, Kidd
7. Golden State - B Diddy, Jackson, Ellis
8. Orlando - Howard, Shard, Hedo
9. Detroit - Billups, Sheed, Hamilton
10. New Orleans - Chandler, Paul, West

There aren't very many other teams with 3 players that stand out above the rest of the team. Like on Houston, who would be the third player? Alston or Battier? or even Scola?

I think people is overrating Tony Parker here, sure he is a young good PG, but not more, he is at the level of Devin harris or Tj Ford imo.

I'd take San Antonio. From a player standpoint, you could argue that Pierce and Ginbobili are a wash, Parker is better than Allen and Duncan is better than KG. Then factor in experience and what they've proven so far, it's not too hard a choice.

D-Will, Boozer, and Memo have to get some sort of a mention.....I wouldnt say they are the best, but they are better than some of the other trios mentioned.

I think Boston and has the best big 3!
