I didn't watch Millsap much until the playoffs in his rookie year. I'd say Landry. :)

Looks about even right as far as stats go, and Millsap provided some great interior defense last season, much more a shot blocker then Landry is which is great to have from a back up PF.

Probably a push, but it depends on if you feel backing up Boozer is harder, or backing up Scola is harder.

On one hand, backing up Boozer you come in and play a completely different style of game, you also have defenses that have been focusing on the guy playing in front of you all game so you don't get anything easy when you come in because the opposing teams game plan isn't really built that way.

However backing up Scola he basically plays the same type of all hustle good energy type of guy so teams aren't going to let up on you either.

Both are great second round picks, both have about the same stats, Millsap did it for longer and didn't miss a single game last season which is a great feat alone, Landy has fought injury problems already in his young career so you may want to take Millsap just off of durability alone.

But if Landy plays a whole season I don't see why he wouldn't be just as good as Paul.

I like both players. They do extremely well for under-sized guys with apparent lack of upside.

When Millsap stays out of foul trouble, I'd rather take him over Landry. He's a good interior defender (as someone said) and can also score a bit too. When he is in foul trouble, he is extremely ineffectual however.

Landry looks more of an offensive player, but a good one at that. It's been great to see a Rocket PF who can come off the bench and finish with some authority - Landry's the man in that regard

I agree with what youngstar.... millsap needs to find a way to stay out of foul trouble.... that is by far his BIGGEST problem.

Millsap. He can play both ends of the floor and do it well. He's not one dimensional. And as he gains a reputation and becomes better known, the refs will start to cut him some slack. He gets called on a lot of ticky-tac fouls that could be ignored.

I love Landry, but as of right now Millsap. Landry has played what 28 games? and is already injured. But thats not the point, Landry has given the Rockets a major role, they missed him last night against the Celtics.
