So, which (if any), players in the NBA could decently play both Point Guard and Center. I've been thinking, but I can't really think of anyone.

Magic Johnson and nobody else. Which is why I have always said the GOAT is Magic as far as "best basketball player" goes. Jordan? Greatest SG of all-time. Stockton? Greatest PG IMO. Wilt? Greatest center. But Magic Johnson is the best basketball talent ever. Because he played PG and filled in at Center in the finals AS A ROOKIE. And not only did he fill in, he dominated and took home a championship and a Finals MVP....AS A ROOKIE!!!!!!
nobody else has/does come close.

...speaks to the greatness of Magic Johnson.
As a Celtic fan, my hair is now on fire for saying that.

Odom played Center a couple games ago, and he brings the ball up sometimes.
Lebron played Center a couple weeks ago too..and hes basically the PG in the halfcourt.

I think Odom, as much as I think he sucks, can probably play both PG or C better than anyone else. Riley said Odom is the closest player to Magic Johnson.

Darius Miles was running point for a while in Mo Cheeks' offense, albeit unsuccessfully, for a while. He also had the length and athleticism to play C.
Unfortunately, he tore his knee up multiple times and never lived up to his pre-draft billing.

This thread begins and ends with Magic. But KG comes the closest to this. Also, Bird had several 20-10-5 seasons but idk if he was a PG-type player.

If Odom fits the bill then Hedo Turkoglu would too I guess... at 6-10 he would be able to play against some the centers... however any player would be a stretch... there is no Magic Johson in he NBA & there will be none probably.

Wilt could play PG if he weren't needed so badly at center . . . .just ask him, he said so once. I think young slim Shaq would be a truly inspiring PG; Barkley too . . . . didn't Arizona have a 300 pound PG once about 10 years ago?

Odom and James are the 2 first that comes to mind among active players.

KG could do it. Often times in Minny the offense would run thru him in the high post (hence the 5+dimes) also in crunch he could(when younger) defend a pg when needed.

As has been said, Lebron, Odom, and Garnett come closer than anyone else. Lebron is probably the only one that could play both at a passable NBA level for a consistent period.
