More impressive? (Re: Kobe and LeBron)

Which was/is more impressive?

Kobe leading a team featuring Smush, Walton, Kwame, Cook and Odom to 45 wins in the West back in 05-06?

Or what LeBron is currently doing... Leading his group of scrubs to a probable 47-48 wins in the East this season?

I think the Kobe leading a team to 45 is more impressive. LBJ currently is playing phenomenal, but I think if Kobe had LBJ's cast he would have taken that team farther. If you think about it, that Cavs team in the west may not even make the playoffs, because in the west you 3/4 of your schedule is against each other, and as of right now they would be out of the playoffs.

I hate questions like this, primarily because the make no sense.

Even for a question like this one though, this response makes absolutely no sense.

How about Kobe this year with everyone around him (and even himself) being injured yet again.

As much as I dislike him and his fan base, its pretty impressive

LBJ had a 50 win season in his 3rd year with almost same stats(31.4-7.0-6.6). That was more impressive than these 2.

I'd have to go with Kobe's 45 win season, wasn't Smush on that team?

I am going to have to say Kobe's 45 wins is alittle more impressive all things considering.

True, but he didn't ask about that season.

I was just curious what people would say. People all year have been amazed at how well LeBron has been doing with his group of scrubs... But people also forget how Kobe took pure garbage to 45 wins that season.

Smush was the starting pg all season long. This is the same guy that isnt really even in the league anymore, and just got booted off one of the worst teams in league history. Think about that... And Kwame Brown was our starting center that year. He's the same guy thats avg. barely over 2ppg this year with an awful Grizzlies team.

Kobe's supporting cast that season was absolutely bar-none dreadful. And they still won 45 in the West... Which I think is much more impressive than even 50 wins in the East with the players LeBron is playing with.

Smush averaged 11.5 ppg that season which is the same that Daniel Gibson gives Lebron.

I'll give the edge to Kobe. Led a worse team than the 07/08 Cavs to a similar record in a much tougher conference than the 07/08 east.

No one forgot about it. Its get brought up 9039043 times a day. Every day we hear about Kobe Bryant playing 3 on 12 with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown and being a shot away from beating the Suns (who's tallest player was like 6'4).
