Western Bracket (Rose's Pick a Player tournament)

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Sat Mar 29, 2008 1:58 pm

The Western Bracket matchups are up, vote for the best player (you are building a contending team for this year and the future). Just copy or quote this bracket and either bold or otherwise indicate your winners. Then let us know why you voted in matchups where you don't think the answer is obvious. Thanks.

1 LeBron James v 16 Andre Biedrins

2 Yao Ming v 15 Ivan Calderson

3 Dirk Nowitski v 14 Rashard Lewis

4 Carmelo Anthony v 13 Pau Gasol

5 Chauncey Billups v 12 Emeka Okafor

6 Marcus Camby v 11 Al Jefferson

7 Caron Butler v 10 Andrew Bynum

8 Shawn Marion v 9 Brandon Roy

Far as I know, past accomplishments are only taken into account in predicting this and future accomplishments . . . on the other hand, you are a contender this year so . . .

I must admit I am surprised you picked Al Jefferson and Shawn Marion. i would have guessed that people valuing defense and experience would take Camby and Marion, people valuing offense and youth would take Al and Brandon, care to explain why that particular split?

This looks similar to the eastern bracket... Also, it's Jose Calderon, not Ivan Calderon.

If Rose is back online with these, I will lock this one and we can pretend it never happened . . . enjoy the other threads.
