Probably Duncan's squad, but in a close one I'd think. You've drawn up two pretty comparable squads, but the edge goes towards the team with the 2 best players (Duncan/Wade) IMO.

It's not even close for me.
Duncan has the far superior interior defense. Better rebounding. They can play off of Duncans post play. JRich will get open three's and Wade will penetrate and distribute and close the 4th. No pure shooters is a weakness. Why is Abdur-Rahim on the team.
Team West will have to run because West doesn't do a lot of posting up and he won't be successful going up against Duncan anyway. West won't be getting too many open jumpers with Fisher as the PG compared to Chris Paul. McGrady will have to handle the ball a lot. Marion will do his all around thing but I don't know what his role is on this team. He plays best in an uptempo offense but I just can't see this team doing it effectively with these PG's.
Wade/JRich/Duncan just compliment each other better than West/McGrady/Marion imo......

Ummm...Why would you give the better player the superior supporting cast?

This is a redraft that has been drawn on another forum so I just wanted to see what most thought.

Why would you call it "Team David West" when he isn't even the best player on his team?

This is team Duncan and it's not even close. Much better fit wise and defensively. In a playoff series, the most it'd go is 5 games...

You mentioned that McGrady would have to handle the ball a lot in the end of what I highlighted, but in the beginning you said West would lose the open jumpers. Well if McGrady is handling the ball, he will get the open jumpers back, since McGrady is a very nice passer, and pick and roll player.
Now, excluding that, I take the Duncan team. I also like Paul Milsap off the bench.

Yeah, I was hoping no one would catch that. I started off looking at Fisher and Vaughn as the PG's and that they wouldn't be able to create open looks for the other guys. Then I got to McGrady and guessed he would probably end up handling the ball. But then I got too lazy to go back and fix it......

Easily Tim Duncan's team.
Swap West and Duncan and then we'll have a comparison.
