Where does he rank when compared to other small forwards in the league?

i think he's below these:

james, melo, howard, pierce, g. wallace, deng, granger, gay, marion, jefferson, sjax, hedo or lewis, artest, butler, prince


there are others i might put ahead of him like battier but i think magz is around top 16-20, depending on who is considered a sf.

Top 10 for sure, but where in the top 10 is hard to figure out because he isn't really a known "winner". But he is a really good athlete, he knows how to slash, has a nice mid range jumper, and his defense isn't bad at all. It was sort of a waste to see him the past 6-7 years in LA and not winning.

corey would have to be number ten, but i personally wouldn't put him ahead of gay, prince, granger, sjax, hedo or lewis. there is no way that he is top ten FOR SURE.

Somewhere between 15-20. He's a good player, but there are soooo many good SFs in the league.

He's a good player. He's not as good as his numbers. Right now, he's making $7.85 million. That's probably more or less what he's worth. He declined a 3 year $25.5 milion extension...and that's a pretty fair offer. Somebody may offer him more than that, and he'll leave L.A. It will be a mistake for the other team.

I'm saying all of this as a Clipper fan. Corey has a low basketball IQ. He's a hard worker and a high efficiency player. But he's not as effective as the numbers say. And he's had some injury issues...we are tlaking about a guy who has been a starter for 7 tyears, and has played over 2400 minutes three times in that period...and never over 2700 minutes in a season. In the last seven years, he's missed close to a quarter of the Clippers' games. That's a lot.

When he's healthy, he;'s probnably a slightly above average starting SF. With the injury issues, he's probably right near the league average. I figure that average starting SF salary in the league is probably around $7.5 million. He's a good player; better on paper, though.

I would say around the 15-20 range. Not really a hit at him either since SF is arguably the most stacked position in the league.

Is that in order? If so How is Wallace ahead of Howard? Howard scores more (as a second option), shoots better (from the line, field, and 3), and rebounds more (on a better rebounding team). Has the higher per, and higher per differential. He also plays less minutes and is on a championship level squad.

Wallace is the better weakside defender, while Howard is the better man to man defender.

Where is Iguodala on these lists?

^ Iguodala is considered a SG, and I think Maggette is a top 15 SF for sure.

This is one of the best analyses of his game that I've seen. He's good but not as good as his numbers say.
