Ramon Sessions scored 20 and dished for 24 assists. What do you think was the best "scrub" moment in the NBA?

p.s.: Note that I have the word scrub in quotations.

Hehe... it's easy to list those who have scored 50 points. I am not sure how many assists each of them had, but Sessions did have 24 assists which is responsible for at least 48 points.

20 + 48 = 68 points...

Lorenzen Wright: 33 points and 26 rebounds in 2001.

Bo Outlaw: 25 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 blocks in 1998.

Rumeal Robinson: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists in 1993. He averaged 4/1/2 on the year.

And though he probably doesn't qualify as a scrub...

Benoit Benjamin: 34 points, 23 rebounds, 8 blocks in 1989.

Almost forgot Ike Austin's 33/22, and Sherman Douglas' 27 points, 22 assists, and 8 rebounds. That's probably the closest comparator.

Tony Delk comes to mind.

20 of 27 is sick. I knew Delk scored 50+, but I thought it would be like 20 of 40 or something.

idk if Dampier is a scrub, but his 12/12 season comes to mind. Also, Delk and Murray come to mind as the worst 50 pt scorers.

Acie Earl (career averages of 5.1/2.7) dropped 40/12 on the Celtics in 1996.

I don't think there are "scrubs" when you've been/were in the league for numerous years for a reason. Role-players are just a different level of player, they have ability to an extent, and is why they stayed/stay in the NBA for as long as they did.

Over time I've noticed, at times people think "scrubs" are players who have limited offensive ability or aren't star players at all. But outside of offense, where they're average/average at best, are better than they are offensively in other areas of the game, and are consistent contributors there.

Depends on who it is if they're a scrub or not to me.

Specifically, I'd rather have an ordinary-decent defensive/hustle player who knows his limitations on offense, does the intangible things, brings energy, brings toughness, moves the ball, etc. Rather than an average/fair/respectable scorer, who sucks the majority of everywhere else.

I'm not sure which "scrub" gets the prize but I'm guessing they put up the stats against the Sonics.

I swear last year almost every other game some scrub would have a career night against us.

Some guy whos averages 4 pts would go off for 26pts. Seemed like it happend nightly almost.
