Ive done Top 20 or 30 rankings for all positions in the beggining of the season, in the middle of the season and now the end of the season.

This list is based on play this year. Defense, Offense, Games Played, and to a lesser extent Team Success have all been considered while making these ranking. I hope you enjoy.

1. LeBron James
2. Carmello Anthony
3. Paul Pierce
4. Caron Butler
(if not for injuries he would be 2 no question)
5. Josh Howard
6. Steven Jackson
7. Edit: Andre Iguodala
8. Gerald Wallace
9. Ron Artest
10. Hedo Turkoglu
11. Rudy Gay
12. Richard Jefferson
13. Edit: Danny Granger
14. Peja Stojakavic
15. Luol Deng
16. Tayshaun Prince
17. Grant Hill
18. Andre Kirlienko
19. Shane Battier
20. Marvin Williams

Honorable mention: John Salmson, Thadeus Young, Wilson Chandler (both came on strong near the end of the season), Tim Thomas, Charlie Villanueva, Ricky Davis.

How is this list for you guys? Who should move up and who should move down?

Even though Green plays sg for you guys, I'm assuming the OP considers AI2 a shooting guard.

Ive been a fan of Hedos this season but all of the players other than LeBron and Carmello (both have shown big improvements every year) are great on both ends of the floor, thats why I ranked Hedo right under those guys.

I do agree with you that Artest should be higher but not much maybe above Granger but Granger has had a great season and played the full season.

Iguodala is on the shooting guards list, I could be wrong but I thought since the emmergence of Thadeus Young he had been playing more shooting guard than Small Forward. If im way wrong then ill correct it otherwise I feel the Iggy is more of a 2 than a 3.

Nah, Thad plays the majority of his minutes at the 4.

PP should be 2. Jax too high, Hedo too low. Gay too low.

I'm interested in knowing why Granger is 3 spots higher than Gay, in that Gay has:

*a higher PPG.
*a higher fg%.
*more rebounds.
*more steals.
*the same blocks.

Whereas all Granger has is a higher 3 pt% and .02 more assists. Somewhat confused. Gay also has virtually all the above over Hedo.

In fact, of the guys 9-12, Gay ranks 2nd in points, 1st in rebounds, 1st in fg%, 1st in blocks, and second in steals, and yet somehow ranks below all the others? He's actually ahead of Wallace and Iggy in most cats, too.

I repeat, people are sleeping on how good Gay has been.

I think Gay is just right where he is, its Granger that should move lower.

Tim Thomas, Ricky Davis, Chandler, are behind Moon if I was to rank SF's. [Villanueava might make that list. Pylon on defense and streaky as hell. Doesn't bring 100% to every game too]

Moon is a great defender [42% Opp FG% when a last checked] has a sevicable mid-range shot is a great rebounder from the SF position (around 9 baords a game per 40 minutes) and can fly with the best of them. [He has glaring faults though, ie; Lack of handles, often gets baited on a shot fake, shot selection is suspect at times] but the man [27 year old rookie who everyone passed over and had to earn his keep in the minors/D-Leauge, exploding on the scene to be a starter on a play-off team?] should at least be a honourable menton.

There's just no way Jackson should be at 6. I think he should be at 13.

So Wilson Chandler gets an honorable mention who plays good when the season is out of reach for the Knicks to make the playoffs and Jamario Moon somehow doesn't exist who has played good for the Raptors.
