This list is based on the same criterias as the rest of the lists, if you do not like the list that much (ive have recieved tons of insults on the others) then make your own. Try to look at this list objectively and before insulting me make sure you have your facts straght. This list was made to bring discussion to the board and not insults so please when posting give a good argument for your cause, if I feel its a valid one I will change the list. Thanks for reading. Ford needs to be above Alston, and even during a very poor season, Hinrich likely should be above Rafer as well. I'd swap Nate Robinson and Derek Fisher...they are statistically similar, but Fisher has had (IMO) the greater impact, as he's a better defender and more reliable player.

I dont know Ford missed alot of games this season due to injuries and Hinrich put up almost identical numbers to Alston. Alston also brought leadership and some outside shooting to a team that was desperate too it, and then when you look at there stats being identical thats where team record comes into play which Alstons is much better.

Nate is a much better shooter and overall scorer than Fisher and as far as Fisher being more reliable goes Id like you to explain a little more because I am not sure I know what that means, I think they are both extremely similar because Nate is a better scorer and fisher is a better defender it pretty much comes down to choice, Nates TO's were the same as Fishers.

Yeah, I didn't consider the time missed due to injury, and that's a valid consideration. In regards to Hinrich/Alston, while they put up similar numbers, Hinrich is a much better defender and a comparable outside shooter.

Nate is not a better shooter, though; Fisher shot 40% from three, while Robinson shot 33%. By reliable, I meant that Fisher is less prone to freelancing...Robinson decision-making is still not great, which leads to some very questionable shots at times. Though he has improved in that area, I'd still take the guy who puts up similar stats, defends better, and can be relied upon to stay within the offense.

Billups is too low, based on his production in the regular season, he should be number two.

I'd bump Nash down a bit because he's struggled head-to-head with the other top PG's.

Again, he's one of the worst defensive players in the league.

Rondo had a better year than Bibby/Harris/Felton, too.

Heh, I missed Crawford. Even if you want to classify him as a PG (questionable), he is definitely not top-10.

Jamal Crawford above Jose Calderon and Devin Harris? Mo Williams above Devin Harris? Nate Robinson above Derek Fisher?

As I've said before, these lists are very subjective, and you're never gonna get everyone agreeing, but you rely WAY too much on the basic stats (ppg/apg/rpg/spg/bpg) when making these rankings. For example, someone like Devin Harris is a very good PG, solid offensively and one of the best defensive PGs in the league, maybe the best period. Jamal does sh*t all on the defensive end, and 20 ppg is not impressive when you play 40 mpg and only shoot .410 from the field. He loses far, far more games for his team than he wins.

12. Rafer Alston (played excellent d and was one of the best players on the team during that epic spreak. Normally he would be quite a bit lower)

14. TJ Ford (would be higher if not for injuries)
15. Derek Fisher (doesn't put up flashy numbers, but has been very efficient all year, and is solid at everything. Is a perfect PG for the triangle - not ball dominant, very good 3 point shooter, can drive a bit as well)

A 59 to 1 ast/to ratio to end the season doesn't account for anything? How about that 5/1 overall ast/to ratio on the year that makes him 1 of 3 in nba history to achieve that feat? thats why you cant rely on stats, he isnt even close to being in the same league as those guys you have put him with, yea he did put up those stats but hes not even the starting point guard on his team. Hes not better than Andre Miller.

The only thing Miller does better than Calderon is score (even though Calderon's significantly more efficient at doing so), and he's probably the better defender.

someone explain to me how Andre Miller's better than Calderon?

The only thing I can think of is that he had a good game against Detroit the other day and it's clouding people's judgments.
