Thatshow I see em, what do you guys think? Please look at the list objectively and leave homer opinions outside the thread. I made this list to bring good basketball discussion to the board therefor if people plan on saying "Biendrins" and not give any reason to it isnt basketball talk its just most likely a homer opinion. This list was based on the same things the other lists were made with. Thanks for reading and once again please be objective.

I have done more research on this list as to who plays what position and all of the players on this list played the majority of there minutes at the Center position so there should be no conflict wiht "Jefferson is not a Center" etc. because the list is based on this season and this season that is where this player played the majority of his minutes.

Haywood is better than Horford, Biedrens, Okur and Miller.

He is arguably better than Dalembert, Chandler and Bogut on a per-minute basis. He has a higher PER than all of them and plays better D than all except possibly Chandler.

I second nate's comment about Haywood, who is a better man defender than Chandler.

I also think Kaman should be above Jefferson (because he plays better D) and that Yao should be ahead of Marcus Camby.

Biedrins is too low IMO, he should be top 10-15.

How does Yao play 55 games, and still get ranked #4, while Wade plays 51 games, and drops all the way to 18th on your SG list (below guys like Jamal Crawford, Mike Dunleavy and Mike Miller)???

Also, Tim Duncan played the majority of his minutes at C? And don't give me 82games "position" stats - they are based on nothing (for example, they have Bosh playing 19% of his minutes at PF, 42% of his minutes at SF, and they don't even list the other 39% of his minutes. In reality, I can tell you that he played at least 95% of his minutes at PF).

For the most part this is an OK list, although I disagree with a few players (for example, I think Camby is too high - he's a great rebounder and help defender, but his man d is nothing special, and his offense is below average for a starting C, so I wouldn't put him over guys like Gasol, Kaman and Jefferson)

I respect Jefferson but he's proven all year that he cannot generally handle centers. Yes, Jefferson was able to score on Kaman in isolation coverage but that doesn't mean that his help defense is at Kaman's level and that's more important.

If neither player is a stunner man-on but one is a much better shot-blocker and shot-altering presence, you respect him as the superior defender, and that's Kaman in this case.

Also of some note is that Jefferson gets more touches because he's the most significant offensive threat on his team, which improves his point volume, while Kaman plays alongside Maggette.

Its been a common discussion all year round about Duncan being a Center, but I feel like when you start a lineup with Kurt Thomas at Center and the 7"0 Tim Duncan at PF thats kind of bull. What happened when he plays with a:

Udoka/Finley
Bowen
Ginboli
Parker lineup that I see really often, Oberto is the only Center on that roster and he played just 20 minutes a game this season, and he made less impact when in the game than other plays.

Wow, I didn't notice that Bynum wasn't included. He should definitely be on this list.

duncan isn't a center......? neither is al jeff

I just wonder why everyone calls duncan a center. He will be known as a PF forever and long after his career ends.

OK, but this season he's only played with guys who are smaller than him and mainly take midrang Js off the doubles he draws so its not like anyone else on the team is a C. He plays like a C. If he plays like one and no one else does why can't you call him one?

Duncan has forever been and always will be a PF. For Christ sake for the all star game he got his name taken OFF the CENTER list and put on the PF list. All jeff is not a center either.

call him a center I don't care. but he will be known as a PF and he is listed as one too.

Timmy D is a tough one given his PF/C status, but I agree if he's a C he's #1. Kaman goes to 3 above Camby, and Yao drops due to his injury status. Bogut goes to 8 above Okafur and Shaq, and Miller goes above Sheed and Z at 11.

A pretty good list though.

He's not forgotten, he just only played 35 games. With such a small sample he can't be included on a list like this, or he drops a long way down it anyway.
