Utah Jazz anyone? The 5th youngest team on the NBA, and the youngest team on the Western Conference playoffs

Don't think it is your fault, but just the fact that no one mention how young they are. Also lakers aren't too far either.

1.Utah
2.Toronto (simply because of Bryan Colangelo's resume)
3.Philly
4.Portland
5.Atlanta

No Lakers for me because Kobe and Odom are gonna be old by the time Bynum becomes a beast.

at the beginning of the season the age chart looked like this:

1. San Antonio 30.64
2. Phoenix 29.04
3. L.A. Clippers 28.86
4. Dallas 28.28
5. Miami 28.26
6. Houston 28.20
7. New Jersey 27.77
8. Toronto 27.70
9. Detroit 27.65
10. Orlando 27.52
11. Denver 27.45
12. Cleveland 27.25
13. New Orleans 27.04
14. Boston 26.90
15. Sacramento 26.73
16. Charlotte 26.62
17. Washington 26.61
18. Milwaukee 26.49
19. Minnesota 26.39
20. Indiana 26.37
21. New York 26.22
22. L.A. Lakers 25.90
23. Memphis 25.87
24. Philadelphia 25.73
25. Chicago 25.72
26. Utah 25.61
27. Atlanta 25.48
28. Golden State 25.42
29. Seattle 25.35
30. Portland 24.06

I know that it changed a bit at the trade deadline. Portland actually got younger because of waiving Miles and I believe the Bulls jumped to the 2nd youngest with their trade. The Lakers got a bit older switching Brown for Gasol and trading Crittendon.

to me it's kind of obvious the 5 on the list, at least according to this season are the Lakers, Jazz, Blazers, Warriors, and Hawks/76ers (I hedged).

Obviously, the off-season will re-shuffle this list as it always does,

What baffles me is how anyone could list Toronto considering there are 22 teams younger then them.

and just for curiosity's sake, age by division:

1. Southwest 28.01
2. Pacific 27.14
3. Southeast 26.91
4. Atlantic 26.84
5. Central 26.70
6. Northwest 25.78

I believe the Hawks reclaimed the "youngest" title with the Bibby trade because we moved out 3 old dudes and only got one back, then signed a young D-Leaguer.

Fans of older teams will come in and list older players who aren't really important to their team, somehow assuming that this situation only applies to their team, and therefore suggest that their team is actually younger than it appears on paper.

it seems like I saw a piece on TrueHoop that said the Hawks and Bulls dropped down to a shade above 24 years, while the blazers actually dropped below 24. Maybe they didn't account for the d-leaguer

Potentially it's

Portland
Utah
Toronto
Atlanta
Philly

Right now though it's probably

Utah
Toronto
Portland
Philly
Atlanta

I didn't include the Lakers because their main trio of Kobe Odom and Gasol are not young.

Assuming everyone stays healthy and projects close to what they are supposed to, it's not really even close IMO.

Oden, Roy, Aldridge and Fernandez make a really strong core group. Not to mentio Portland has another lottery pick and will have a gazillion follars to try and get a stud FA in a year

the lakers are already were most of those teams hope to get one day. if the lakers still qualify as young after the gasol trade, its easily them. they're young and the top seed in the west. i don't know how much the trade changed the numbers though.

No where near to what he can be. He's not a beast yet, 10 & 10 does not qualify but he will be soon if Kareem continues to work his magic.

Bulls are actually now the youngest, beating out the Blazers by a fraction. (under a tenth of a year I believe).

Again, why is Toronto on anybody's list??

they were the 8th oldest team in the League and all they did was trade Dixon for Brezec

I'd like people who put Toronto on the list explain their logic...or lack of

Their core group is very young. Bosh, Ford, Calderon and Bargnani are not even in their primes yet.
