if nuggets gets manu instead of AI, NUGGETS COULD BE BETTER, what's your thoughts???
Manu can do anything, and he's the answer why spurs won. Even he's a little injured, he can still take clutch shots. Game 1 and Game 5.
and the more important things, manu can do a lot of little things to bring a win. and manu's defense>>>>>> Ai's, and Manu + melo can be a hell DUO, they can do some pick-roll, fast offense....
manu> AI

I don't know guys, but Ai + melo can't go anywhere... they have talents on papers, but both don't have any defense, and i think the small things are as much important as score. The stats don't mean anything...
When TP was out, manu is the main offense player because his team needs, and when TP is back, MANU did other little things, like flop, defense... I think that what MELO needs, but definitly, AI + melo can't work.

well if the nuggets had successfully convinced mannu to sign with them a couple years ago they would have andre miller, manu, carmelo, nene/kenyon and camby. depending on their chemistry they would have a chance against LA this year. dont know if they would win but they wouldnt have been swept.

no..
Manu is great and I love him, but he's way too inconsistent..he belongs on the Spurs, because he has a great system, a great coach and 2 other great players with him that can take over..he's way too erratic when he's off, which can't be good on a team like Denver that already has erratic players..
the Suns series was a great example..he wasn't making his shots consistently, and he looked terrible..not because he was missing, but because of the rhythm that put him in..he was trying too hard to make passes that turned into stupid turnovers, he was taking erratic risks defensively, his shot selection was poor..
with Manu, you have to take the good with the bad..
btw, I'd rather have Manu over Iverson on my team, but I'm just saying I don't think he would help Denver's current team..

I think it's unfair to say. Manu is in the best possible situation he could possibly be in with the Spurs. A great system, great chemistry, great coach and the #3 option behind one of the best bigman of the last decade and Tony Parker. I'm not saying Iverson would do better than Manu with the Spurs, but put them both out in the wild as the #1 option and than it would be more fair to compare.

yea i basically agree with all of this. Ginobli is a great player, but put him at his absolute best on the 2001 sixers and he wouldn't bring them as far as iverson did. Iverson is an all time great who you can build a team around (you do need to build a specific team around him. basically a very, very good defensive team with good team rebounding. but it can be pretty successful. an example is those 2001 sixers.).
ginobli has a great system with a top 10 all-time player that he takes full advanatge of, and working so well in that system is something he should be credited for. I would want manu more than iverson if i wanted a piece on my team for a championship, but i'd want iverson to be my best player over manu. denver is just a poorly built roster with a ton of talent who keeps running into the wrong teams in the first round. that's why they have no team success.

Yes. Ginobili is a great player. He complements Anthony well. AI is a ball stopper. Denver should be a better offensive team. They have talent but it is validated that AI and Anthony can not co-exist. Ginobili is one of the most passionate players in the league. There wouldn't be any questions surrounding the heart of the players with him in the locker room.
