I'd take one or the other before KG, if that means anything.

KG's game is just better than Howard's..just because he plays less minutes now and doesn't have to put up the same numbers, it doesn't mean much at the end..he's a better defender, a more versatile offensive player, relies less on teammates, has fewer limitations, handles double teams better, far superior passer..

as for Paul..I'd say no right now, but if he beats the Spurs with an impressive series, I'd have to consider it..

Paul is better but Dwight isn't. Dwight is close though.

I'd have Howard at #7 in the NBA, and KG at #4..so it's definitely close, I just feel as if KG is still better right now..

Right now... I have

Kobe
LeBron
Duncan
KG
Paul
Dwight

But I am really starting to consider moving Paul ahead of KG based on what he has shown in the playoffs so far...

KG's best statistical season (2003-2004) vs. Dwight this season

KG --- 24.2ppg, 13.9rpg, 5.0apg, 1.5spg, 2.2bpg, 2.6topg, 49.9FG%, 79.1FT%
Dwight 20.7ppg, 14.2rpg, 1.3apg, 0.9spg, 2.2bpg, 3.2topg, 59.9FG%, 59.0FT%

kg will always have the better numbers in assists, FT% and maybe turnovers, but by next season, dwight would top kg's best statistical season in the remaining categories.

kg put up those numbers in his 9th season. he won the MVP during that season. this is only dwight's 4th season.

coincidentally, dwight has reached the 2nd round this year. kg got out of the first round of the playoffs in his 9th season.[/b]

KG's 2004 year owns Dwight's current year. Dwight has much better efficiency and slightly better rebounding but everything else is all KG.

KG never had the teammates or played in such a weak conference as Dwight except that 2004 year and this year.

KG's 2004 MVP season numbers is NOT significantly better than dwight's this season. +3.5ppg, -0.7rpg, +3.7apg, +0.6spg, +0bpg, -0.6topg, FG -10%, FT +20.1%. As i stated earlier, except for assists and FT (where KG will always have a significant advantage), they have comparable numbers in all the other cats except for FG%.

and this is KG's 9th season compared to dwight's 4th. what makes you think that dwight's 9th season numbers won't be significantly better than kg's?

After you account for pace and all those other little things... Check the PER difference, which is a great indicator of offensive dominance, and KG is still the better defender, he's still a fair amount ahead of Dwight.

KG is Dwight's idol, maybe they can play for the same team in a few years, and KG can show Dwight some of the little things on D, and the intricacies of passing, and Dwight can become the most unstoppable beast in the history of the league
