Is LeBron really better at making his teammates better, than Kobe?
I've been watching basketball for years, and Kobe seems to make his teammates better. Yet I don't see that in LeBron.
Why do we keep hearing LeBron makes his teammates better, and Kobe makes them worse.

Kobe Bryant is the best all time at making his teammates better.

Player comparison board? I'm tired of all these Lebron Kobe threads. Let the kid win a few rings before people try to elevate him to Kobe's status. He's a good player but let him earn some status before your try to put him on Kobe's level. Compare him to wade, melo, or chris paul would be more comparable. Kobe's playoff games are on ABC. Lebron's playoff games are on ESPN2. You do the math.

Lebron dominates the ball and everything has to go through him. He's your PG, your SG, your SF, your PF, maybe even your C.
Some players like Hughes will not be better with Lebron. Maybe it's just the system but most players played better before joining the Cavs.

Why can't Kobe fans just enjoy Kobe in his prime instead of worrying about what LeBron or some other player is doing ??
What's with the complex ???

The Lebron vs Kobe argument is really tiring...

Neither of them "make their teammates better".
Both do a tremendous job of making the game easier/more open for their teammates though, and both deserve a lot of credit for that. LeBron doesn't have the shooters Kobe has, but he's a great passer.

Wow, this is just such an arrogant way of thinking...Kobe was handed the BEST situation a young player could ever dream of (I would have loved to see Kobe playing in Charlotte), one of the greatest coaches AND greatest centers ever.
Kobe might be slightly, very slightly better player right now than LeBron but the gap is closing so fast it's not even funny considering Kobe is in his prime and LeBron is 23-year old.
Ok, I needed to write this, I'm out now...
Btw, this "making teammates better" argument is becoming very overrated and overused...

Well LeBron is a lot better at making his teammates better than Kobe was at the same age, LeBron is basically twice as good as Kobe was at this age.

This Year for sure Kobe is looking for his teammates and maks them better.
Lebron is doing that as well but not to the same extend.

So the "making your teammates better" argument becomes irrelevant when it doesn't support Lebron? Just kidding, just kidding...
It's always been a stupid argument (yet some people DID use it to support Lebron and criticize Kobe/any other All-Star on a losing team). A player can only do so much to make another player "better." You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink...

1. Why does everyone always bring up this thing about rings, Give 23 y.o lebron a 29 year old Shaq like kobe had and they will win 6 straight champs, pure and simple. Kobe still wouldn't have a ring without the big man. (He might be able to do it this year, might)
2. Lebron doesnt have any team mates to pass to but still gets like 6 apg, imagine what it would be if he was passing to odom or gasol or bynum.

It's actually Kobe fans that are always comparing Kobe and LeBron.

Neither makes his teammates better. They do however, set up teammates with easier looks because of the attention they draw.

Is it a coincidence that everytime LeBron has a good game, the haters come up with things like this?
Hint: That's how you recognize a great player from the really good ones

At your age you're into 15 year olds?
