Devin Harris vs Raymond Felton

am I missing something here? Why is one considered a future star (Harris) and the other considered a semi bust? Both were top 5 picks. Their style of play is quite similar. I believe Harris is better right now but the difference between the two is minimal (he's also older). Statistically there near equals as well. Felton dishes out more assists and Harris scores more. Harris is a very good defender. Felton may not be the defender Harris is but he's a good one.

People say Devin was limited in Dallas because of Avery, well his numbers really haven't gotten better in New Jersey, he scores more and averages more assists but he also played more, turn the ball over more, and his percentages across the board (minus FT%) took a noticeable dive. And with him the Nets weren't winning.

Felton played under two pretty incompetent head coaches, people seem to always ignore this. He also continuously switched positions (PG/SG). Next year he will finally play under a coach who has an offensive direction and good offensive structure.

I can understand liking Harris more, but why is there a huge difference of opinion between the two when the gap is not that great?

Felton is so inconsistent it's embarrassing.

Look at his yearly stats, huge games, then nothing.

well harris has inconsistency issues as well. Once Sam Vincent let Felton play only PG (after a road loss to the knicks), he played pretty consistent ball. Switching positions continuously usually has an effect on ones consistency wouldn't you think?

I hope this is going to make a difference for Felton.
He had some great games, but a lot ups and downs.
