I'm just trying to prove a point here.
vintage, iverson + 1st rounder is >>>> value than billups and dice
He said this exact quote.
I respectfully disagree.
Now I ask you.
Who is
-better
-more valuable
-who would you rather have on your team
-who would you trade MORE to get
okay.........GO!

Considering contract, I'll take Billups + Dice. It certainly isn't ">>>>>>".
Iverson can have a great impact than Billups on some teams, but Billups is a better fit for most teams.

I'll take Billups over AI.

Are we talking primes? If so, Hell, I'd take Dyess over AI and Billups. He was better defender at his position than AI and Billups are at theirs.

Depends on the team you're trying to build.. If you want a predominantly up and down team than AI would appear more valuable.. If you're looking for a half court general than the obvious answer is Billups.. I do think AI is by far the better player though..

I think AI is the more talented player, but honestly I'd take Billups because his size, style of play would be easier to put players around him and make a successful team. To me AI is to ball dominate of a player and can often be a defensive liability. I also think with style of play AI will hit an age wall sooner then Billups as well.

Another poster pointed it out, but I think people are underrating how good prime McDyess was. Him and Billups easily over Iverson/1st round pick

Well the OP is asking who is better between AI and Billups, so it doesn't really matter.

Billups fairly easily. Better defender, better range, and better at running set plays.

I'm taking Billups. He plays D and his size creates mismatches for other PGs

Billups over Iverson straight up . . . easily. Iverson has improved with age and maturity (and the no hand check rule) and is the greater indivicual star but Billups is still much the better team player. He's more efficient, plays better defense, and is the better distributor for his teammates. Throwing in a late 1st round pick for the aging McDyess isn't enough extra value; these are contending teams and McDyess is still a good player.
