Baron Davis vs. Jason Kidd (current day)

Post#1 » by GSWhoopfan » Mon May 5, 2008 9:05 pm

Who is a better player today? Who would you rather have as your starting point guard today?

Im not asking about career, because Kidds career is much better than Barons best season ever. And Kidd is a lock at the HOF, Baron wont even be considered to enter the gates.

But who is better today? Who is more of an asset?

In my eyes, Kidd is more of a liability than Baron. Kidd doesnt hit his jumpers like he use to and his defense isnt as sharp. Keep Kidd on the perimeter and the other team might be alright.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

B-Diddy easily. Kidd is beyond overrated now. He's not even in the top tier of PG's in the league anymore imo.

I dont know why you would compare this two because Kid has been declining although he still gets his triple double at times though. Baron if you can see is more valuable to his team than Kid is and is a must to make gsw competitive and a better team.

Baron easily, similar in the other aspects of the game (rebounding, defense, and passing) but blows him away offensively.

Baron, my criticism with him is his shot selection, and with that said, he still doubles his point total, and is more efficient.

Jason might be the best passer in the league, but it's negated by his inability to score the basketball, and his rebounding is the only thing that truly shines right now.

At least Baron can be a great defender when he wants to be.....

Baron and it isn't close. Kidd's triple-doubles are just empty arbitrary stats. He's not an elite PG anymore.

Baron. He's actually useful.

kidd is not overrated, his decline is well known. no one thinks in the top tier of pg's anymore. its a widely accepted opinion.

of course it's Baron, Kidd's near the end of his career..

as for Baron Davis, he's arguably the most overrated player in the NBA..arguably the worst shot selection in the NBA, inconsistent defensively, inflated numbers, attitude..

^^^ How's he overrated? He has hit big shot after big shot, and made huge plays across the year. When he's in the zone, he's capable of tearing apart anybody. Plus, 43% FG isn't really that bad, although it's not that great either. Just ask the experts how good Baron is. IMO the most overrated is Melo or Roy.
